Deutsche Lufthansa, Kleos Space, BYD - The picture is brightening up
Exploding infection figures, contact restrictions, and no prospect of improvement are some of the impressions one could get from the current news situation. In contrast, individual scientists are cautiously optimistic that the new variant could be the beginning of the end of the pandemic and the change to an endemic. In an endemic situation, people continue to become infected with the virus; however, by that time, most people's immune systems have already been exposed to the virus or are protected by vaccination, so there is no longer a burden on the health care system. A more normal life would thus be possible again, with significantly fewer restrictions.

The development in the commodity market also usually reflects in the balance sheets of producers.

Tilray, Ayurcann, Aurora Cannabis - When will the boom 2.0 come?
About five years ago, the boom of cannabis stocks started. Companies like Aurora Cannabis, Canopy Growth and Tilray were able to multiply within a few months. However, the boom was followed by a quick end on the stock market. With corrections of 90% in some cases, the exaggerations were harshly corrected. However, the cannabis market is still in a strong growth phase. The legalization in many countries and the cannabis 3.0 wave promise the companies enormous growth leaps in the next few years. Thus, the steep rise seen at the time could be repeated, at least to some extent.

Barrick Gold, MAS Gold, Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank - Breaking News: FED raises interest rates!
Loretta Mester, another member of the Federal Reserve, has signaled a key interest rate hike for March. The central bank president of Cleveland spoke to Bloomberg of conditions that led to reconsider the easing measures. It clearly indicates further tapering steps and a turn on the key rate. It would be the first rate hike since the pandemic began. There are enough indications that inflation is too high, as the last price increase for the US was plus 6.8%. Gold and banking stocks should benefit from this decision. We are looking for investment opportunities around inflation.

Valneva, Cardiol Therapeutics, Novavax: Hitting the nail on the head!
What is the correlation between the development of drugs or vaccines and the price of the company in question on the stock market? Difficult to answer because there is an almost infinite number of research areas in the field of biotechnology. Not all of them are at the center of media interest, while some topics, in contrast, experience true hype phases. COVID-19 is a viral disease that is to be overcome with all available research resources, and the attention on the capital markets is correspondingly high. Those who can demonstrate success in this area achieve high prices and valuations. But who will deliver the ultimate vaccine or a revolutionary drug to treat infected people? Lots of speculation, risks and opportunities in equal measure. We take a look at some interesting companies.

BYD, Altech Advanced Materials, Volkswagen: Who is as innovative as Tesla?
For years, e-cars lagged behind conventional drives in many areas: The ranges were significantly lower, and comfort remained inferior to classic combustion engines. In the meantime, however, things have changed. Chinese manufacturers, in particular, are scoring points with ranges of 1,000 km. Modern e-cars have also long been packed with gadgets that make the hearts of tech-savvy car enthusiasts beat faster. Does this mean that the development of e-cars is at an end? Not at all! We present three companies from the industry and analyze their innovative strength.

Deutsche Bank, CoinSmart, PayPal - New opportunities after the correction!
After bitcoin reached a new all-time high of around USD 69,000 in November, price targets of over USD 100,000 were already being passed around. But the reality looks different. In the wake of a sharp correction, the digital reserve currency is trading below USD 41,000. The altcoins have also been dragged down with it. Even if cryptocurrencies are not yet at the end of the current correction cycle, the ecosystem's development and infrastructure are still in their early stages. Thus, there are attractive countercyclical entry opportunities in this segment for selected securities, which should pay off in the long term.

Gazprom, Memiontec, E.ON, Siemens Energy - Water is the oil of tomorrow!
In the mind of current politics, the world of tomorrow is supposed to get by without oil and petroleum products. Modern fuels with fewer emissions and the abandonment of plastic packaging could reduce the amount of oil and plastic products needed. But with this line of thinking, all countries would have to act in unison and put the petrochemical industry on the sidelines. Whether this will result in less plastic ending up in the Pacific remains questionable, but we are already experiencing one effect: a noticeable increase in the price of all energy and utility services. Green policies are nice, but they slow down economic performance considerably. Who will benefit from the long-term policy choices?
