Barrick Gold, Barsele Minerals, BASF - Investing in scarcity: 3 B-shares with potential
The risks on the capital markets are increasing, as can be seen in the volatility indices. They were around 18 before the invasion of Ukraine and rose to over 35 by mid-March. The volatility index measures the range of fluctuation expected by the futures markets in the coming months. If we follow this indication, we could still be in for a tough summer. Possibly significantly lower again but, with the desired political easing, also a little upward similarly. However, investors need to be aware of the exploding inflation, the tight commodity markets and the supply chain problem. These are ongoing issues that will not pass anytime soon. The following values could provide some stability.

Deutsche Bank, wallstreet:online, Commerzbank - Financial stocks about to jump
Rising and longer-lasting inflation is worrying market participants. The central banks, which held on to their ultra-loose monetary policy for too long in favor of possible economic growth, must act now. While the ECB is still in a deep sleep, the US Federal Reserve started with the first interest rate hikes, and more will follow. The beneficiaries of the interest rate turnaround are financial institutions, which also performed after the announcements. However, the war in Ukraine knocked them back. A possible second chance to invest in attractive financial service providers.

Exciting hydrogen forecast: Shares of Nel ASA, Plug Power and dynaCERT facing golden times?
For many, hydrogen is a key factor in successfully implementing the energy transition. Accordingly, the technology is being promoted strongly. Since the start of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, hydrogen has again gained importance, and experts are overflowing with growth forecasts. First, in mid-March, the investment bank Jefferies published a forecast according to which the demand for hydrogen electrolyzers could rise to more than 400 gigawatts by 2030. By then, however, only 79 gigawatts would be available. So the supply gap is enormous. To fill it, hydrogen specialists like dynaCERT, Nel ASA and Plug Power could be in for golden times. And it gets even better. A new study puts the Jefferies forecast in the shade.

mm2 Asia, Nvidia, Bayer AG - Digital marketplaces with high scalability
Shanghai is currently experiencing the totalitarian proportions of a zero-COVID strategy. Due to soaring cases, 26 million people have to go into a harsh lockdown. After more than two years of the pandemic, the images from the Chinese metropolis seem all the more disturbing. Helplessness is spreading. People are tired of the inhumane measures. Those who test positive have to spend their quarantine in specially equipped hospitals, separated from their families and other foreign positives. The dystopian experiences of the Corona Pandemic, which everyone has personally experienced in recent months, provide an unexpectedly timely stage for arguably the most spectacular re-mastering and launch on April 21 of an Asian indie film classic in the psychological thriller genre.

Regionalization as an investment idea: BYD, Defense Metals, Rheinmetall
The peace dividend has been depleted. For years, Europe imagined itself in a world without wars. Interdependence and joint trade were supposed to create a world order that would provide stability and balance. But for the past fifteen years or so, this concept has not been running smoothly. First, Putin set foot in Georgia, and later, he annexed Crimea. Since February, it has been clear even to the German government that peace and security will have to be worked hard for again. At the same time, as climate change necessitates action, the world is facing change. We highlight three stocks that could benefit.

A crisis here, an opportunity there: BASF, Almonty, Plug Power
Quarterly figures and many upcoming annual general meetings will bring to light what has been somewhat abstractly clear for weeks: many industrial companies are in serious danger. Yesterday it became known that the Russian army is said to have sprayed an unknown substance over Mariupol. If it was poison gas, the West would be forced to react. It cannot be ruled out that oil from Russia will be the next to be hit. Just how dependent companies like BASF are on Russian energy recently became clear. We examine three stocks and their opportunities and risks in this market phase.

Commerzbank, Kodiak Copper, NIO - Unstoppable trend
Remember last year when both Federal Reserve chief Jerome Powell and ECB frontwoman Christine Lagarde called rising inflation "temporary"? According to the Federal Statistical Office, consumer prices for March have come in fresh across the news tickers, showing a 7.30% increase, the highest level since reunification. On the one hand, of course, the Ukraine conflict impacts rising energy and commodity prices, but even after the end of the warlike activities, many goods in demand because of the energy transition are likely to at least maintain the high price level.

Deutsche Bank, Hong Lai Huat, Vonovia - Real estate market remains hot
The Federal Statistical Office announced on April 8: Construction prices were up 14.3% YOY in February. A nightmare for future builders. In addition, there are supply chain problems and a lack of tradesmen. The Ukraine conflict has also caused energy prices to skyrocket, which will cause additional price increases. Manufacturing, transportation, everything is getting more expensive. In March, inflation in Germany was 7.3%, the highest it has been in over 40 years. To break the spiral, the ECB would have to raise interest rates. Initially, this was planned for the 3rd quarter, but the pressure is growing as inflation rises faster and faster. Rising interest rates would be good for the banks. However, there is no relief in sight for the real estate market.

Infineon, BrainChip, Nvidia - Chip market facing the next wave
Due to current events in connection with the Ukraine conflict and the announced sanctions against Russia, certain everyday goods are becoming scarce. Currently, consumers face empty supermarket shelves for sunflower oil, for example. It seems almost forgotten that there is also still a shortage of semiconductors. This crisis could worsen because of the war. One reason is that the noble gas neon, which is necessary for chip production, could run out. Intel CEO Gelsinger expects the chip shortage to last into 2023.

Nevada Copper, Aurubis, Nordex - Fueling the energy transition!
A study commissioned by the International Copper Association (ICA) concludes that copper demand will be strongly driven by the massive expansion of cabling for solar, wind power and electric vehicle infrastructure. Experts estimate that the volumes demanded from the solar and wind sectors will multiply by 2040. A projected increase in the number of charging ports for electric vehicles from 3.2 million in 2021 to 152.3 million in 2040 will exponentially increase copper demand in this sector. As a result, an increasing supply shortage is emerging, which in turn will lead to further price increases for the industrial metal. Copper producers such as Nevada Copper or recycling companies such as Aurubis will benefit from these general conditions.
