Turn of the times: Varta, Altech Advanced Materials, BYD, NIO - Batteries over oil and gas!
The Ukraine crisis reveals a dangerous dependency. Central Europe is on Russia's energy drip. It is not easy to threaten Russia with sanctions when the oil and gas giant is also the leading supplier. For the primary supply of our population, any change in German-Russian relations is dramatic as long as we do not manage to build up alternatives. Of course, this cannot be done in just a few months but involves an investment cycle of the next 5 to 10 years. It will therefore be critical for the coming winter. The automotive industry has long recognized what threatens heating and district heating today. Move away from fossil fuels - towards batteries! Only who can build them?

BioNTech, Almonty Industries, Steinhoff - Which share will be the first to have its lid fly off?
Some stocks repeatedly experience longer sideways phases on the stock market, even though their operating performance is good. Here it is worthwhile for an investor to take a closer look in order to anticipate the right time for an entry. One can fall back on the chart technique, watch the newsflow, and analyze the fundamental data more closely. If you are convinced of a company, you can build up a position, especially in sideways markets. Today, we look at three companies where the current lid could fly off in the future.

Bayer, Defence Therapeutics, Formycon - Biotech stocks facing transformation
The pharmaceutical industry proved to be a key industry in the Corona pandemic, developing tests, vaccines and drugs at record speed and making them available in large quantities. In the process, biotechnology emerged as the innovative engine. The development of new compounds is particularly important for the pharmaceutical industry, as patent protection for many blockbuster drugs will expire in the future or has already expired. For this reason, the pharmaceutical industry is now entering biotechs much more frequently in the early development phases of a new drug. As a result, early-stage development companies already offer opportunities for multiplication.

Volkswagen, Phoenix Copper, Nordex - Act quickly
The German cabinet wants to minimize dependency on Russian oil and gas and, at the beginning of April, passed the so-called Easter Package at the suggestion of Vice-Chancellor and Federal Economics and Climate Protection Minister Robert Habeck. It has been the largest amendment to energy policy legislation in decades. The Easter package comprehensively amends various energy laws in order to accelerate and consistently drive forward the expansion of renewable energies. To put this amendment into practice, the demand for raw materials, which are already in short supply, will drastically increase, positively affecting producers.

Watch out: BioNTech, NervGen, Valneva, CureVac: The next waves of biotech stocks are rolling!
The start of spring - and where to now? The mild flu outbreaks due to the Omicron variant and associated massive relaxations of Corona measures in many countries are weighing on the prospects of vaccine manufacturers in the short term. After all, there are no clinical bottlenecks, and the vaccination rate does not want to increase despite massive public campaigns. Mandatory vaccination is also off the table, and for the biotech industry and vaccine producers, this results in a need to keep researching other topics! Many diseases are more dangerous for us humans than Corona. We look at important protagonists.

Barrick Gold, Barsele Minerals, BASF - Investing in scarcity: 3 B-shares with potential
The risks on the capital markets are increasing, as can be seen in the volatility indices. They were around 18 before the invasion of Ukraine and rose to over 35 by mid-March. The volatility index measures the range of fluctuation expected by the futures markets in the coming months. If we follow this indication, we could still be in for a tough summer. Possibly significantly lower again but, with the desired political easing, also a little upward similarly. However, investors need to be aware of the exploding inflation, the tight commodity markets and the supply chain problem. These are ongoing issues that will not pass anytime soon. The following values could provide some stability.

Deutsche Bank, wallstreet:online, Commerzbank - Financial stocks about to jump
Rising and longer-lasting inflation is worrying market participants. The central banks, which held on to their ultra-loose monetary policy for too long in favor of possible economic growth, must act now. While the ECB is still in a deep sleep, the US Federal Reserve started with the first interest rate hikes, and more will follow. The beneficiaries of the interest rate turnaround are financial institutions, which also performed after the announcements. However, the war in Ukraine knocked them back. A possible second chance to invest in attractive financial service providers.

Exciting hydrogen forecast: Shares of Nel ASA, Plug Power and dynaCERT facing golden times?
For many, hydrogen is a key factor in successfully implementing the energy transition. Accordingly, the technology is being promoted strongly. Since the start of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, hydrogen has again gained importance, and experts are overflowing with growth forecasts. First, in mid-March, the investment bank Jefferies published a forecast according to which the demand for hydrogen electrolyzers could rise to more than 400 gigawatts by 2030. By then, however, only 79 gigawatts would be available. So the supply gap is enormous. To fill it, hydrogen specialists like dynaCERT, Nel ASA and Plug Power could be in for golden times. And it gets even better. A new study puts the Jefferies forecast in the shade.

mm2 Asia, Nvidia, Bayer AG - Digital marketplaces with high scalability
Shanghai is currently experiencing the totalitarian proportions of a zero-COVID strategy. Due to soaring cases, 26 million people have to go into a harsh lockdown. After more than two years of the pandemic, the images from the Chinese metropolis seem all the more disturbing. Helplessness is spreading. People are tired of the inhumane measures. Those who test positive have to spend their quarantine in specially equipped hospitals, separated from their families and other foreign positives. The dystopian experiences of the Corona Pandemic, which everyone has personally experienced in recent months, provide an unexpectedly timely stage for arguably the most spectacular re-mastering and launch on April 21 of an Asian indie film classic in the psychological thriller genre.

Regionalization as an investment idea: BYD, Defense Metals, Rheinmetall
The peace dividend has been depleted. For years, Europe imagined itself in a world without wars. Interdependence and joint trade were supposed to create a world order that would provide stability and balance. But for the past fifteen years or so, this concept has not been running smoothly. First, Putin set foot in Georgia, and later, he annexed Crimea. Since February, it has been clear even to the German government that peace and security will have to be worked hard for again. At the same time, as climate change necessitates action, the world is facing change. We highlight three stocks that could benefit.
