While the US appeared to be heading for a trade war with China on Friday, US President Donald Trump posted a message on his social media platform, "Truth Social", on Sunday, giving a slight all-clear. But is this really the end of the dispute between the world's two largest economies? Hardly. In fact, the battle for critical raw materials is likely to intensify in the coming months, if not years, meaning Western producers could benefit disproportionately.

The next steps towards cannabis THC legalization are underway! Canopy, Tilray and BioNTech are taking the lead, and Cantourage Group is experiencing dynamic growth

  • Biotechnology

Cannabis has been decriminalized in some countries but legalized in only a few states. In the US, cannabis is fully legalized in states such as California but outright banned in others such as Texas. While medical use is slowly catching on, the use as an intoxicant and cultivation for personal use remains controversial. Stronger momentum could be sparked by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The authorities are open to a downgrading of the degree of danger in the categorization of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). We are talking about two steps from Schedule I to Schedule III, which no longer puts THC on a par with common drugs such as heroin, ecstasy or LSD but classifies them as substances with comparatively little psychological dependence. That would be a revolutionary step. Which stocks can benefit?

Cannabis 3.0 - will profits be made now? Canopy and Tilray under pressure, Cantourage Group positioned superbly

  • Cannabis

For a few days now, a long-neglected stock market segment has been attracting attention again: the cannabis industry. The North American industry protagonists Canopy and Tilray have recently attracted some stock market turnover again, but skepticism remains high. For those investors who did not exit in time, they had to write off around 95% of their investment in the last 2 years, and experts suspect that the revaluation of the former high-flyers is not yet complete. We take a look at the nebulous scenery of hemp speculation.

Tilray, Ayurcann, Aurora Cannabis - When will the boom 2.0 come?

  • Cannabis

About five years ago, the boom of cannabis stocks started. Companies like Aurora Cannabis, Canopy Growth and Tilray were able to multiply within a few months. However, the boom was followed by a quick end on the stock market. With corrections of 90% in some cases, the exaggerations were harshly corrected. However, the cannabis market is still in a strong growth phase. The legalization in many countries and the cannabis 3.0 wave promise the companies enormous growth leaps in the next few years. Thus, the steep rise seen at the time could be repeated, at least to some extent.

Tilray, Sativa Wellness, NanoRepro, Valneva - The 2022 health winners

  • Cannabis

The topic of cannabis ran through all the gazettes in 2018 and 2019. The Netherlands, Canada and 9 US states were the well-known pioneers in cannabis legalization at the time. It is now also to come in Germany - at least that is what the coalition agreement of the government parties says. The debate about the legalization of cannabis has been going on worldwide for several years. For Germany, the traffic light coalition wants to legalize the controlled distribution to adults for consumption purposes. In this way, they say, licensing the sale of cannabis would also ensure the protection of minors and prevent the spread of contaminated substances. The industry briefly cheered with share price increases but then returned to normal. We take a look at key industry players.

Canopy, Tilray, Sativa Wellness, Formycon - Finding the next cannabis rocket!

  • Cannabis

The big bull market in cannabis ran through 2018 and 2019, and then in 2020, the reality set in that only a fraction of states around the world will implement general licensing for hemp. The newly elected federal parliament has its first constituent session these days. Climate change and investments in digital infrastructure are two of the most important topics in the coalition negotiations to form a new federal government. One topic that is not quite so high on the list of priorities, but is already causing a lot of excitement in the run-up, is the possible legalization of cannabis. The Greens and FDP have been advocating legal, regulated trade for some time. Of course, nothing has been decided yet, but the outgoing federal government's drug commissioner, Daniela Ludwig of the CSU, already warns of the consequences. We take a look at important industry representatives.

Tilray, Ayurcann, Aurora Cannabis, Canopy Growth - Sow first, then reap

  • Cannabis

After the hype around cannabis companies like Aurora Cannabis, Tilray and Canopy Growth in 2018, consolidation followed, and it continues. But the industry is moving mightily. Smaller companies disappeared from the price list, while big players expanded their market power through mergers and acquisitions for the next few years. The cannabis industry is predicted to grow tremendously in the future. The fantasy is fueled by government legalization plans in several states, including Germany.

Aurora Cannabis, EXMceuticals, Tilray - Cannabis development in Portugal

  • Cannabis

From the street to the clinic. Cannabis had the image of an illegal street drug in most rich countries since the prohibition in the USA in the 1930s. Although cannabis has been used as a medicinal plant for more than 1,000 years, the past decades have been marked by other pharmaceutical products. The market and attitudes towards cannabis are now changing. Doctors, patients, companies and investors see opportunities to profit from this development.
