When undervalued real estate or other investments are hidden deep in balance sheets, it is a positive surprise for shareholders. However, when companies develop a new business field out of nowhere, the positive effects are even greater and more sustainable. We shed light on three companies with more potential than meets the eye.

Copper massively missing - what to do? Nordex, Orestone Mining, JinkoSolar - Greentech shares in the focus of investors

The energy transition in Europe can only work if critical metals such as copper, lithium or nickel remain available. For an almost complete electrification of road traffic from 2035 onwards, quantities of copper 3 to 7 times the current consumption are required. At present, however, hardly any new mines are coming on stream. It will therefore be exciting to see which copper source the EU will soon tap in order to supply industrial sites with the coveted metal. So the EU Council of Experts should urgently look for a few mining consultants and have the current decisions verified by the Fairy Tale Department. How do we manage it after all?

If you order a new photovoltaic system today, you cannot avoid products from China. Even German brands often work with Chinese partners and benefit from local technology at favorable prices. But the energy transition is facing a turning point: The gap between East and West is getting deeper and deeper. We look at what this means for companies in the sector and where opportunities could arise.

JinkoSolar, Manuka Resources, BYD - Vanadium raw material as an insider tip

  • Mining
  • Vanadium
  • Batteries
  • renewableenergies

China and Russia are the two leading vanadium producers, with the Middle Kingdom producing 70,000 tons in 2022, more than 4 times as much vanadium as Russia. South Africa came in 3rd place with 3,000 tons. As a result, the metal has made it onto the list of critical raw materials in the US and Europe. In addition to common applications in steel production, catalysts and aerospace, the raw material is now coming into focus because of new vanadium redox batteries that can be used as energy storage devices and have a longer lifespan. The batteries are scalable, safer, and more environmentally friendly and can thus contribute to the energy transition. Commercialization is already starting, but vanadium is scarce.

Bank failure and new heaters! Nordex, Defense Metals, JinkoSolar - Greentech shares in the focus of investors

German Economics Minister Habeck wants to stick to his controversial plans to ban the installation of new oil and gas heating systems from 2024. In press releases, he describes the "heat turnaround" as mandatory. However, criticism of the plan is getting louder rather than quieter. What other countries do not even discuss is to be implemented here as quickly as possible due to a lack of fossil raw materials. The government in Berlin is worried about the climate targets set by law and still believes in the prosperity-securing transformation of the German economy and private households. The financing side of these projects is being forgotten because not everyone will be able to afford the purchases. FDP parliamentary group leader Dürr sent Habeck's plans back to the "assembly hall" for the time being on the talk show "Anne Will" because of various construction defects. The crux of the matter is energy availability, which is crucial for a green transformation. Which values now belong in the portfolio?

Tocvan Ventures, JinkoSolar, Commerzbank - With gold and silver towards a real energy turnaround

Gold and silver prices will continue to rise in 2023, as a weaker US dollar and loose monetary policy should drive precious metals higher. There is great joy at Tocvan Ventures in light of the latest drilling results. The team expects the Pilar area to produce similar results to other miners in the region. Precious metals are finding great sales in the solar industry. Investors will learn today the business results of solar panel manufacturer JinkoSolar. The Chinese company has recently been allowed to export to the US again. Commerzbank has to cope with a touch of greenwashing; a district court made a momentous judgement for a subsidiary.

Innovations for millions: Volkswagen, JinkoSolar, Meta Materials

  • metamaterials

If a company is ahead of the competition, its business runs all by itself. Large companies invest billions to set themselves apart from the market. But the structure of corporations too often puts the brakes on visionary projects. Fortunately, there are smaller companies that are wholly committed to new technology. We present three companies and explain which could soon become the focus of the big players.

In the daily press, in addition to the terrible images from Ukraine, we are also occupied with unresolved questions about the energy industry of the future. It has been decided that the path will lead via innovations and renewable energies, but the underlying pace will not be sufficient for a quick turnaround. Moving away from the internal combustion engine is just as much a matter for discussion as condemning nuclear energy. Resourceful researchers are therefore developing new ideas for technological concepts that will change vast areas of life. However, implementing the solutions will cost a lot of money and require scarce raw materials. What should investors be focusing on at the moment?

The commodity market surged in 2022, driven by energy procurement shifts due to conflicts with Russia and China. Also, central banks continue to fight galloping inflation. One beneficiary of the crisis is precious metals, and companies like Alerio Gold specialize in mining them. The experienced team is working on three promising projects in Guyana. Companies like JinkoSolar are shaping the energy transition. Analysts predict a growth boom, especially for the Asia-Pacific region, as this is where most solar companies are conquering markets worldwide with innovative products. To expand its market power, Plug Power has chosen a renowned partner to further advance green hydrogen as an energy source.

Copper on the rise: Kodiak Copper, BASF and JinkoSolar benefit

  • Mining
  • Copper
  • renewableenergies

Global copper demand is estimated to double by 2035, requiring new mines, mine expansions and technological improvements at existing mines to boost production. One beneficiary of this boom is Kodiak Copper. Assay results from the recently completed drilling in late 2022 have increased the known mineralized envelope at both the Gate & Prime Zone discoveries at its British Columbia project. At the 6th International Investment Forum on February 15, CEO Claudia Tornquist will share more about this with interested investors. BASF is also taking steps to bridge the looming copper shortages due to high demand. A new cooperation is expected to accelerate copper mining. JinkoSolar, on the other hand, as a user of the highly sought-after metal, has struck another new deal. Hedge fund managers are excited.
