The first major city in Germany is getting serious. From February 2023, diesel-powered vehicles in the Euro 4 emissions class will no longer be allowed to be used within the inner ring in Munich. In the future, these drivers will have to park their vehicles at the city limits in order to use public transportation to get to the city center. Current media reports about electricity costs at charging stations for e-cars show a different picture. Some providers are shamelessly exploiting the shortage of charging stations and rising energy prices. Prices of EUR 0.70 per kilowatt hour are not uncommon at public charging stations.
