Globex Mining, Alphabet, Amazon - Hard assets in uncertain times
It continues to be uncertain times for Amazon employees. CEO Andy Jassy is cutting around 9,000 jobs in the group to keep the numbers stable. Tech rival Alphabet, on the other hand, can rejoice: for the first time, its cloud business is posting an operating profit, prompting the management team to buy back shares. The mining business is somewhat more consistent. Globex Mining has two pieces of good news for gold investors.

March was a dark month for the shares of Deutsche Bank and Vonovia - the prices of both companies fell by more than 20%. Barrick Gold, Globex Mining, First Majestic Silver - The resurgence of precious metals
In uncertain times, gold is considered a safe haven and enjoys great popularity among investors. Due to the banking industry's irregularities and Silicon Valley Bank's bankruptcy, a shift from the risky stock market to the precious metals sector was already apparent. This was further reinforced by the wobbling of Credit Suisse. With the crossing of a prominent resistance, the yellow metal is now striving for new highs.

Running out of fuel? BYD, Porsche, VW, Globex Mining - Metals in demand!
In benchmarking, anyone who sees electromobility at the forefront cannot ignore a powerful battery. In the last 3 years, there have been no real leaps forward in development, but at least power compression in lithium-ion technology achieved a doubling of the range and, in parallel, also lowered the previously long charging times. This made an electric vehicle suitable for long-distance travel for the first time, even though faster discharge must be expected in winter due to non-engine services such as heating. But technological development continues, and BYD, as one of the world market leaders, sets technological standards. Which stocks are the favourites in the sector?

Raw materials revolution from Africa: K+S, Globex Mining, Freyr Battery
Lithium, cobalt or even manganese - what reads like the list of ingredients for the mobility and energy revolution is available in abundance in Africa. However, China has been a major player in Africa for years and was already investing heavily when Europe was still seeing golden times for combustion engines. In the meantime, however, that has changed: As Handelsblatt reports, more and more African countries want to do their own thing regarding raw materials and turn from exporters into processors - for the countries of Europe, this is an opportunity.

Nordex, American Lithium, Globex Mining, Nel - New stock favourites?
The energy transition is fuelling the raw materials boom. Solar and wind energy, hydrogen and electromobility - raw materials such as nickel, rare earths, lithium and cobalt are needed for all future technologies. Companies like Nordex and Nel ASA need the raw materials. The Nordex share has had a challenging year. But analysts see the light at the end of the tunnel. The wind turbine manufacturer is introducing a new product. At Nel, experts advise selling, and the annual figures are due soon from the Scandinavians. In contrast, Globex Mining continues to be traded as an outperformer even after the 50% rally since November 2022. The quality of the resource projects is high, and the share is being revalued. American Lithium has also performed strongly since Q4 2022. The uranium subsidiary is expected to provide the next share price jump. However, bad news is coming from China for the lithium sector. This time, Tesla is not instigating the price war.

Encavis, Globex Mining, Freeport-McMoRan - Like in a fairy tale
Germany still has 22 years to achieve its goal of climate neutrality. By then, electricity will be generated purely from the sun and wind, and buildings will be so perfectly insulated that they will no longer need to be heated. Cars will only be fueled by electricity or green hydrogen. On paper, the energy mix transformation reads simple, but the implementation seems almost impossible, given current developments. Massive problems are likely to arise in procuring critical raw materials, as global demand is already outstripping supply for many metals.

Commodity stocks poised for a comeback? Barrick Gold, American Lithium, Globex Mining, Standard Lithium
Inflation is weakening, and the interest rate cycle is nearing its end. This argues for a comeback of gold mining stocks. In any case, the gold price is already pointing in the right direction. Now heavyweights like Barrick Gold must follow. Explorer shares offer disproportionate opportunities. However, Globex Mining is an interesting alternative for those who shy away from individual risks. With more than 200 investments in the commodity sector, the Canadians are positioned similarly to a fund. Currently, the cash balance alone corresponds to half of the market capitalization. In addition, there is positive news from the projects. The lithium sector is also starting to recover. Companies like Standard Lithium and American Lithium are recovering from the sell-off at the end of the year. In addition, takeover fantasy attracts.
