Currency crash? Here's what opportunities look like! Barrick Gold, Globex Mining, PayPal
Those who bet on gold at the beginning of 2022 are sitting on single-digit losses today. The setbacks are more pronounced for classic stocks. Even blue chips have generally lost double digits. So in relative terms, gold has done very well - especially against perceived competition from the crypto camp. We present opportunities for investors to invest around alternative currencies now.

Desert Gold Ventures, Deutsche Bank, Barrick Gold - Is the bottom in sight?
Due to the strength of the US dollar and concerns about further interest rate hikes, the precious yellow metal again sank below the threshold of USD 1,700 per ounce in recent months. It marked a new low for the year at USD 1,680.59, which also meant a test of the lowest level from 2021. Since then, however, gold has been rising again, driven by a recovering euro and the positive statements by FED Chairman Powell after the last interest rate hike by 75 basis points. At current levels, a long-term turning point could thus be initiated.

Barrick Gold, Tocvan Ventures, Newmont - Gold stocks facing a renaissance?
The strong dollar has weighed on the gold price in recent weeks. However, the strength of the US dollar is rather a weakness of the euro. While the FED raised interest rates to fight inflation, the ECB hesitated. While the ECB recently raised interest rates by 50 basis points, it was 75 in the US. In addition, the energy crisis in Europe, especially Germany, is putting additional pressure on the euro. For US exports, this is not good news. Therefore, the markets gratefully accepted Jerome Powell's statements. The chairman of the FED wants to slow down the pace of interest rate increases. The gold price also jumped in response. We look at three companies that should benefit from a rising gold price.

Inflation, gold and silver - The pot is bubbling: Barrick Gold, Manuka Resources, First Majestic, Standard Lithium
The set-up for rising precious metals could not be better at the moment. Due to the enormous price surges for energy and technical equipment, the operating costs of mines are increasing, and exploration is also becoming more expensive. In the medium term, this should lead to declining production in the precious metals sector, especially since prices have been falling significantly for some time. However, physical availability is not given at the low spot prices, as an ounce of silver is currently still traded between EUR 23 and EUR 28. The converted spot price would be around EUR 19. We have interesting commodity stocks in focus.

K+S, Globex Mining, Barrick Gold - Has the bottom been reached for commodity stocks?
Recession fears have had a grip on the commodities sector in recent weeks. Copper was quoted below USD 7,000 per ton again for the first time. Two other factors create additional pressure. First, there is the strong dollar. The last interest rate hikes failed to lower the inflation rate. At the same time, the strong USD is making raw materials more expensive, which has led to a drop in demand. On the other hand, the zero-Covid policy in China is slowing demand. Nevertheless, the outlook for commodity stocks is good. At the moment, many companies are taking a wait-and-see approach because of the uncertainties. If the recession does not materialize, prices will soon rise again. The three companies we are taking a closer look at today will also benefit from this.

Barrick Gold, Tocvan Ventures, Allkem - The right stocks for times of crisis?
War, climate change, inflation and rising interest rates: these are challenging times on the stock markets. The gold-rush mood in FinTechs and the eMobility sector has currently come to a halt. Which sectors offer the best long-term prospects? Commodities are and will remain a promising investment category, especially in times of high inflation. Who will make the running?

Gold price close to long-term buy signal - Desert Gold, Newmont and Barrick Gold in waiting position
Gold reached a new low for the year with the interim slide below the psychologically important mark of USD 1,700 per troy ounce. Thus, the precious yellow metal, which is supposed to act as a crisis currency, completely lost the gains since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In the short term, there is now the threat of another test to the downside in the area of USD 1,600 per ounce. In the long term, gold should regain its role as an inflation hedge and a currency against major crises. It is, therefore, slowly time to build up anticyclical positions.

Barrick Gold, Desert Gold, First Majestic Silver - Is it worth buying precious metals shares now?
Recently, the prices of precious metals went under the wheels, bringing back memories of the financial crash in 2008. Back then, the stock markets were also in a bear market and precious metals were considered a safe haven. But both gold and silver were sold off at that time. Subsequently, both precious metals rallied by almost 200% in gold and 500% in silver. The question is whether we have already found the bottom? The dollar's strength increases the price of commodities because the ounce is traded in USD. Add to that weak demand from China due to the zero-covid policy and rising interest rates. Today we look at three companies that own precious metals.

Barrick Gold, MAS Gold, BASF - Turnaround in sight?
Despite Western sanctions, Russia is able to earn more money with its raw material deposits than before the war in Ukraine, which it instigated in violation of international law. This is not likely to please the Western world. They are already thinking about further spiraling sanctions. In the future, Western countries will be prohibited from buying Russian gold. That will likely lead to an artificial supply shortage - good prospects for gold stocks.

BASF, Globex Mining, Barrick Gold - Stock pickers, beware!
Price increases, inflation, rising interest rates and geopolitical risks - As an investor, one can get nervous. Despite all the challenges and uncertainties, depressed stock price levels offer an inviting risk-reward ratio. The big picture continues to favour commodity investments. Potential is not only to be found in the top dogs. Looking at the second tier is often more rewarding than one might think.
