Steyr Motors appears to be delivering what shareholders were hoping for. Following the rapid rise in its share price this year, the Austrian company has now reported new orders. This could enable the Company to grow into its ambitious valuation. Gold explorer Sranan Gold is still attractively valued. The important drilling program will start soon. Is this also the starting signal for a rally in the share price? There is currently no talk of a rally at BYD. The Chinese company is facing challenges both in its domestic market and in Europe. In Europe, sales figures are falling short of expectations. Can new personnel and a revamped sales strategy bring about a turnaround?

Sranan Gold: Newcomer starts drilling program

Another insider tip is the Sranan Gold share. The Company specializes in mineral exploration and the acquisition of mineral properties in Suriname. The current focus is on the promising 29,000-hectare Tapanahony project. A small "gold rush" has broken out in the region.

Sranan is currently working on the launch of a drilling campaign on the Tapanahony project. The geological, logistical, and technical teams are already on site. The construction of the necessary infrastructure, such as core logging and storage facilities, is nearing completion. Two new drilling rigs and the necessary accessories have arrived so that the first drilling can begin in the target area, Randy's Pit. To start with, drilling sites for up to 6,000 meters have already been selected there.

Drilling on the north side of the Tapanahony River will also take place in the future, once additional investigations such as trenching and mapping have been completed.

The stock is still inexpensive and could have upside potential with positive interim reports from the drilling program.

    Steyr Motors delivers

After Steyr Motors' shares rallied spectacularly in the current year, expectations for revenue and profit growth are high.

However, the Company appears well-positioned to meet these expectations. The manufacturer of special-purpose engines has announced another million-euro order and concluded extensive framework agreements for both civil and military marine applications. Multi-year supply contracts for more than 600 inboard diesel engines, with a total value exceeding EUR 20 million, have been signed with partners in the UK, Italy, France, and China. The robust, powerful, and compact diesel engines are ideal for demanding marine applications. As a result, further orders in the marine sector are expected in the coming months.

CEO Julian Cassutti commented: "Our engines are built to deliver the highest performance and uncompromising reliability under extreme conditions, both on land and at sea. The new contracts demonstrate our technological excellence and the trust we have earned in both the land and marine sectors for civil and military applications."

Steyr Motors' share price appears to have completed its consolidation and has gained around 15% in the past two weeks. The share price has risen by an impressive 314% since the beginning of the year.

BYD: Many areas in need of improvement

BYD currently has several areas in need of improvement. In China, the Company is struggling with overcapacity and price wars. And in Europe, sales are not picking up as quickly as the managers, who are accustomed to success, would like. BYD aimed initially to achieve a 5% market share for electric vehicles by 2024. But in the end, it sold only 57,000 vehicles, giving it a market share of 2.8%. Analysts such as S&P Global Mobility are forecasting sales of around 186,000 vehicles across Europe for the current year. However, this is still below previous targets.

BYD is adjusting its strategy and now offers more plug-in hybrid models, particularly in the south and east. In addition, the European management team has been replaced, and the Reuters news agency has reported on the expansion of the dealer network. In the short term, these measures are unlikely to achieve much. Patience is needed.

Given the problems in its home market and abroad, there is currently no compelling reason to buy BYD shares. Sranan Gold's stock currently appears promising. If the news flow surrounding the drilling program is positive, significantly higher prices are possible. Steyr's stock has already anticipated some positive operational developments. However, the Company also appears to be delivering on the operational front.

The auto industry is in the midst of a deep crisis, as evidenced not only by the news from Volkswagen. The availability of battery raw materials has become a critical factor for automakers. According to a survey by industry experts at Benchmark Minerals, global demand for lithium-ion batteries rose by 29% in 2025 to a total of 1.59 terawatt-hours. While stationary battery storage was the fastest-growing segment, the electric vehicle sector remains the dominant driver of demand in terms of volume. This trend is intensifying global competition for critical raw materials. China is leading the way here. The country controls an estimated 85% of global battery production and processes around 70% of the world's lithium. This poses a risk for Western automakers. They need to develop their own solutions. We analyze the situation and explore a potential solution.

Chips, Gold, and Dividends: ASML, Lahontan, and Allianz as a Safe Haven Amid Market Turmoil

There are times on the stock market when the hottest stock with the most spectacular story is not the best choice. When market uncertainty rises, investors are well advised to bet on stocks that remain unfazed by geopolitical news. At first glance, ASML, Lahontan Gold, and Allianz have nothing in common: a Dutch manufacturer of highly complex specialty machinery for the chip industry, a Canadian gold explorer, and a Munich-based insurance group. And yet, the three have something in common: they provide solid reasons why their share prices can remain largely immune to the general ups and downs of the markets—whether thanks to genuine underlying demand, robust operational progress, or shareholder-friendly dividend policies.
