After graduating, he worked as an IT consultant for a listed company before becoming self-employed, during which time he worked for various DAX-listed companies and a large Swiss insurance company, among others.
Since 2009, he has been exclusively involved in the capital markets, where he was able to gain experience as a day and swing trader, in investor relations and at board level. He was able to live out his passion for numbers in the controlling department of a securities trading house.

For him, fundamental analysis paired with the correct reading of the price action of a market provides the basis for successful trading.

Nikola, First Hydrogen, Plug Power - Will the transport industry rely on hydrogen?

  • Hydrogen

While the future of cars is most likely to be electric, the race in the transport industry has not yet been decided. There are electric buses, but they are more likely to be used in warmer climates. In winter, when heating is needed, electric buses are useless. The same applies to trucks and vans, as the high weight of the batteries means that some tractive power is lost here, and longer journeys also become impossible. The transport industry is responsible for a large proportion of CO2 emissions. If we want to achieve the climate targets we have set, we need a solution. Hydrogen could solve the problem, as the vehicles can be refueled much faster and the range is greater. But green hydrogen is still too expensive. Today we look at three companies working on hydrogen solutions.

Valneva, XPhyto Therapeutics, Pfizer - Corona is far from defeated

  • Biotechnology

In an interview, new Health Minister Karl Lauterbach said, "We will not succeed in defeating Corona completely in the foreseeable period." By period, he probably means his term, which is four years. Thus, the hope that arose in the middle of the year related to a quick end by vaccination seems to have been dashed. The new Omicron variant cannot yet be fully assessed. It is causing uncertainty on the stock markets, which puts renewed pressure on companies that have already suffered from Corona. On the other hand, there are also the profiteers who are fighting Corona. Today we analyze three of these potential profiteers.

Barrick Gold, Tembo Gold, MorphoSys - With which merger will 2022 start?

  • Gold

The record in the volume of corporate takeovers had existed for 13 years. According to M&A experts, in 2021, it was broken as early as October. There has never been such a high volume of mergers as this year. A total of USD 5.3 trillion was spent on takeovers. Often, the offers were far above the current market price, such as the takeover of Zooplus, where US investors put EUR 2.8 billion on the table and paid about a 40% premium over the stock market price. Deutsche Bank does not expect acquisitions to decrease in the coming year. Today, we take a closer look at the Barrick Gold and Tembo Gold deal and take a closer look at MorphoSys, another takeover candidate.

BYD, dynaCERT, Nikola - Traffic of the future must protect the environment

  • Hydrogen

Today, we are more mobile than ever before. The downside of this is the environmental impact. A good 20% of global CO2 emissions are caused by traffic. Relying on e-cars alone is probably too short-sighted. In the private sector, this is quite realistic, but the electric approach does not yet work in freight transport or only at a significant loss of performance. Hydrogen could play a major role in this area in the future, but hydrogen is still too expensive per kilogram, and mass production is still a long way off. Today, we look at e-mobility and hydrogen and an alternative that could help the transportation industry in the short term.

NIO, Defense Metals, BASF - Trade war with China

  • RareEarths

Didi Global's delisting on the New York Stock Exchange after less than six months of membership shows, on the one hand, the tremendous regulatory fury of the Chinese government, but on the other hand also the tensions between the USA and China. This trade war has been going on since 2018, and even the change in the US presidency has not brought any relief. At least both sides exchanged views in mid-November and do not want a cold war. China has also warned Europe against too much independence. However, since the Corona Crisis, it has become clear how dependent many countries are on China. A rethink is discernible, also because high container costs mean that imports are no longer profitable in some cases. Today we look at three companies that are at least indirectly affected by the trade dispute.

Square, CoinAnalyst, SAP - Indices fall and bitcoin crashes

  • crypto

On Friday, not only did the stock indices fall, but Bitcoin crashed by over 16% and with it the other cryptocurrencies. That means that the targeted USD 100,000 mark will probably not be reached this year. The crash is the biggest drop since September 7. The markets had to deal with a wide variety of problems last week. There was first the Omicron variant, and then the US Federal Reserve announced that inflation was not a temporary phenomenon after all and tapering and interest rate increases could be on the cards. US jobless claims forecasts were missed on Friday, and Docusign's stock plunged over 40%. We are in for an exciting week of trading.

Nel ASA, Clean Logistics, Plug Power - Is hydrogen fuel for the depot again?

  • Hydrogen

The coalition agreement of the new traffic light government has been in place since November 24. Achieving the set climate targets is at the top of the agenda. One of the cornerstones is the use of green hydrogen, and so it is essential to increase electrolysis capacity in the coming years. Investments in the development of infrastructures for hydrogen are also to receive financial support. There is also to be a quota for public procurement. What the future hydrogen strategy will look like is to be announced in more detail in an update in 2022. Countries within the EU are also to cooperate more closely in this area. We, therefore, take a look at three companies from the hydrogen sector.

Nordex, MAS Gold, Deutsche Telekom - Should you invest now?

  • Gold

Is the year-end rally starting now, or is the next lockdown coming for Germany? The Federal Constitutional Court ruled on Tuesday that the federal emergency brake was legal, and thus the politicians get much more leeway. Not only the current Corona situation but also the new mutant Omicron is causing worry lines. According to a report from Tuesday, according to Tagesschau, there are currently 42 Omicron cases in 10 EU countries. Whether the current vaccine is also effective against the new variant has not yet been conclusively clarified. It will be interesting to see how the new traffic light government will proceed. In addition to Corona, investors should keep an eye on inflation, which has risen steadily of late.

MorphoSys, Osino Resources, Bayer - Profits through takeovers

  • Gold

The world's most expensive takeover occurred in Germany when the Vodafone Group acquired the Mannesmann Group for EUR 190 billion in 2000. Initially, Vodafone offered only EUR 100 billion. When a company wants to take over a listed company, it must make a public offer to shareholders. At this point, the buying party is usually already the major shareholder in the takeover target. As a rule, these offers are significantly higher than the current share price in order to make the deal palatable to the shareholders. Payment is made in cash, in shares of the acquiring Company or with a mix of both. Today, we look at three companies that are the subject of takeover rumors.

Barrick Gold, Sierra Grande Minerals, Yamana Gold - False breakout in gold?

  • Commodities

On November 5, it seemed gold had finally broken out of its established triangle in the chart. However, since November 19, the bears have retaken the helm for the time being. Investors, who have otherwise relied on gold for inflation and other hedges, are still reacting hesitantly. One reason is the expansion of the money supply, which is displacing people's fear. Nearly all central banks see inflation as temporary. Another reason is the cryptocurrencies, which are also used as capital protection and thus represent competition. If interest rates rise, that would be a bad sign for gold. If inflation remains, global gold demand could increase, with demand from India and China already picking up. The newly formed uptrend in gold is only broken below USD 1,721.1 on a daily basis, so we currently expect gold prices to rise. We, therefore, analyze three gold companies.
