COP28 a toothless tiger? Nel ASA, Klimat X, Nvidia, and Plug Power in the climate change check!

Another earth-shattering climate conference is behind us. The outcome was as sobering as it was predictable. Around 200 countries were able to agree on measures to reduce fossil fuels, but the Gulf states insisted on their right to continue the business model of oil and gas production that has been successful for decades. This makes it clear that the availability of fossil fuels will continue on a large scale because the BRICS states, such as Russia, China, India and Brazil, will continue to exploit their fossil resources unabated. Incidentally, international conflicts only work with fuels and not with battery-powered drives. So, if you consider the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East with their accompanying environmental destruction, there is no need to invent bans on European diesel vehicles. However, there are a few glimmers of hope for a greener future...

The stock market year 2023 brought with it a lot of volatility and no let-up in both geopolitical and fiscal policy upheavals. Nevertheless, Germany's leading index, the DAX, broke through to a new all-time high, while the precious metal gold also shot up to its highest level ever. On Monday, shareholders of the biotech company Morphosys also experienced a pre-Christmas gift, with an impressive gain of 30% at the end of the trading day.

Blackrock Silver, BYD, Infineon - Silver: The new gold of the technology sector?

There is currently an attractive opportunity for investment in silver as it plays a key role in the growing e-mobility sector and chip manufacturing. The increasing production of electric vehicles is driving the demand for silver. Simultaneously, silver is becoming increasingly important due to its use in highly conductive pastes for the progressively sophisticated chip manufacturing industry. These developments could lead to a sustained increase in demand and make silver a potentially lucrative investment. Precious metal prices have already risen sharply.

Artificial Intelligence in Sellout! Nvidia, Defense Metals, ARM Holdings - Nothing works without rare earths!

After long bull market movements, the stock market usually tends to rotate sectors, or the market enters a general consolidation. In the former case, investors can profit by reallocating their assets while exploring new investment opportunities. In the latter case, all stocks come down, and the capital market generally suffers from a change in sentiment and corrects recently exaggerated valuations. In the case of the new megatrend of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the stock market seems to sense a great need for correction. As if by magic, the blockbuster stock Nvidia rose by 250% in just 9 months. However, it has already retraced nearly 20% from its peak. Where do the opportunities lie for investors?

NVIDIA, Defense Metals, Alibaba - Tensions between China and the US are on the rise again

During the BRICS summit, it was announced that six new countries will join the alliance on January 1, 2024. These countries include Saudi Arabia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Egypt, and Ethiopia. This development might not sit well with the United States, as it could threaten the dominance of the US dollar. In addition, there are tensions with China over Taiwan. In July, the Middle Kingdom limited exports of rare earths. China has now added fuel to the fire by banning government officials from using iPhones. Before this, the US restricted exports of NVIDIA's AI chips to the Middle East. Tensions are rising, making it a good time to look at three companies affected by these developments.

In September 2022, NVIDIA and Deutsche Bank announced an innovation partnership focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The goal: to enhance and secure financial services. A lot has happened since last year's announcement. AI is seen as a productivity booster and "the next big thing." The prices of shares such as NVIDIA have also multiplied since then. This even makes partner Deutsche Bank uneasy. We highlight risks and show alternatives.

Growth is the fuel of the markets. When business is booming, and additional excitement is generated, stocks can turn a small fortune into a large one. For example, those who invested in the shares of the Dutch payment service provider Adyen in 2019 saw their investment more than quadruple by 2022. However, since last week, the stock has been plummeting. We explain why Adyen serves as an example for potential upcoming crashes and specifically targets the chip sector - could giants like NVIDIA be heading for a crash soon? Additionally: What investment alternatives are available?

The world of finance is characterized by constant fluctuations and changes. This dynamic, which is a source of uncertainty for some investors, can also provide opportunities to profit for well-informed shareholders. One such approach to profiting from the ups and downs of the financial markets is the art of "Buy the Dip" - taking advantage of setbacks or downturns in stock prices to invest cheaply in promising companies. This approach requires a solid understanding of market behavior and the ability to distinguish between temporary price corrections and long-term value potential. We have selected three candidates where an entry could be worthwhile.

The EU Parliament has included gas and nuclear power as "transitional activities" in the list of green technologies that accelerate the transition to climate neutrality. Demand for uranium continues unabated worldwide. Explorer company GoviEx is filling the gap through its exploration activities for uranium at two renowned sites. Those interested in learning more can ask CEO Daniel Major about it on February 15. The expansion of a stable energy supply and simultaneous CO2 reduction is also a big topic for semiconductor manufacturer AMD. ChatGPT is on everyone's lips and is only the beginning of an AI boom that will require chip technology at universities and data centers, for example. Zuckerberg is also using AI to expand his metaverse. He plans to use artificial intelligence to explore green energy options further.
