The Chancellor sees the Russian threat! Rearming with Rheinmetall, Hensoldt, Strategic Resources and TKMS

  • Armaments
  • Defence sector
  • Commodities
  • Critical metals
  • Supply chains

Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz sees measures against the Russian threat as his top priority. Despite widespread concern, many German citizens would have preferred a more economically minded, progressive stance from the CDU. Yet the international defence industry can already celebrate the next upward wave, as the overall situation continues to guarantee robust growth. Finally, a chance to breathe a sigh of relief, as the spark had not really spread to the armaments sector since autumn 2025. But can the charts still be salvaged? Sector leader Rheinmetall has corrected more than 50% from its peak and has already had to backtrack operationally. Nevertheless, CEO Papperger repeatedly steps in as a share buyer, most recently at the end of September near the year's lows. Is this already the turning point? Time for an update on a closely watched sector.

  • Bank of America
  • Supply chains
  • Production costs
  • Valuation

The European benchmark price for tungsten has risen 176% this year, driven by unexpectedly strong demand from the defence sector and ongoing Chinese export controls. While Almonty Industries shares have recently weakened, security of supply in the West is coming into focus: industry is desperately seeking tungsten. This is precisely where Almonty comes into play as one of the few producers building additional supply capacity over the coming years. Shortly before the first shipment of material from the Sangdong mine in South Korea, a recent Bank of America report with a price target of USD 24.00 highlights the company's key strategic role.

Nel, dynaCERT, Daimler Truck – Hydrogen, Electricity and Diesel Aim to Reduce Emissions in Heavy-Duty Transport

The decarbonisation of trucks is progressing at different speeds. Daimler Truck sold a total of 91,260 units in the 3rd quarter of 2026, of which only 1,207 were battery-electric. The transition is therefore progressing more slowly than sales are growing. Hydrogen propulsion first requires low-cost hydrogen production. Meanwhile, fleet operators are looking for ways to make existing diesel engines cleaner today to improve their carbon footprint. Ultimately, manufacturers must deliver vehicles that perform in everyday use. If all this can be brought together, it could give hydrogen a long-term boost. We therefore take a closer look at Nel, dynaCERT and Daimler Truck.

VW, Strategic Resources, Infineon: EVs, Raw Materials and Chips - Three perspectives on the Auto Industry's Transformation

  • Volkswagen
  • Strategic Resources
  • Infineon
  • Electromobility
  • Supply chain
  • Vanadium
  • Titanium
  • Iron pellets
  • green steel
  • Semiconductors
  • Chips

In September, more than one in three new cars registered in Germany was fully electric. According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), battery-electric vehicles accounted for 34.5% of new registrations. Automakers must adapt their model line-ups in a short period of time, and this requires substantial investment. But the transformation extends beyond the factory gates. Building electric vehicles requires reliable sources of raw materials such as vanadium, used in high-strength steel (ideally produced using green methods) and in batteries. Power semiconductors are also essential, controlling and converting electrical power within vehicles. Companies capable of supplying these materials and components could benefit from this shift. We therefore take a closer look at Volkswagen, Strategic Resources and Infineon.

Created and Published on Behalf of Power Metallic Mines

Electrification and the rapid expansion of grid infrastructure are driving demand for strategic metals needed to support the energy transition. Major banks such as Goldman Sachs expect the copper market to slip into a supply deficit from 2027. While established industry giants such as Rio Tinto and Glencore are investing billions to counter declining ore grades, major mining companies are increasingly looking to promising exploration companies to replenish their project pipelines. In Québec, Power Metallic Mines is positioning itself as a potential supplier to the North American market, with high-grade copper discoveries and an economic assessment now getting underway.

The defence sector has recently been surging. These are uncertain times, shaped by wars and the resulting military build-up. With interest rates and inflation also rising, the environment is favourable for gold. While European defence heavyweights benefit from rising defence budgets and carry order backlogs worth billions, a smaller gold explorer is seeking to impress with hard facts and compelling PEA figures. In this comprehensive analysis, we examine three leading companies with one thing in common: they operate in sectors attracting considerable attention in the current environment. We look at the key factors shaping Rheinmetall and Hensoldt's market performance, where the hidden risks lie, and why Lahontan Gold's revised PEA could offer new insight into the project's development.

Flying the Flag: France Rearms – Daimler Truck, Airbus and HPQ Silicon Stand to Benefit

  • France
  • HPQ Silicon
  • Daimler Truck
  • Airbus

French government bonds are under pressure, and fears of a new euro crisis are spreading through the markets. But Paris is not cutting back on defence. The beneficiaries are truck manufacturer Daimler Truck, aircraft manufacturer Airbus and a Canadian small-cap stock that analysts do not yet have on their radar: HPQ Silicon. The company holds a 36.8% stake in Novacium, a battery specialist based in the Greater Lyon area that significantly improves battery performance and therefore recently made headlines with pioneering military orders for radios and drones. A US electric vehicle manufacturer is now also testing the cells. A hidden gem and two established large corporations – investors should keep an eye on these stocks.

The Big Turnaround: Could Adidas and Nike Still Make a Comeback? RE Royalties Surprises with Innovative Financing Deals

  • Lifestyle products
  • Consumer goods
  • ESG financing
  • Sustainability
  • Sportswear

This leap backfired! Anyone looking at share price performance in the sporting goods industry will recognise a radical shift. The reason the former champions of sport are coming under increasing pressure lies in their traditional way of selling products. Today, a great trainer sells not only through compelling quality, which can sometimes come at a price, but also through emotion, environmental protection and conviction. Ultimately, industry giants relied on their retro products for too long, opening the door for aggressive challenger brands. The innovative newcomers combine athleticism with sustainability arguments and are adapting their production chains to a discerning, young customer base. New adhesives or recycled plastic reuse win at the checkout. Canadian company RE Royalties, which has established itself as a pioneer in royalty-based financing in the renewable energy sector, is also delivering genuine surprises. By opening up an entirely new line of business, the company offers tailored capital structures specifically aimed at decarbonising large industrial groups. Ultimately, this development shows that environmental responsibility and financial returns no longer have to be at odds.

Created and Published on Behalf of Zefiro Methane Corp.

Environmental damage often occurs quickly, but remedying it costs time and money. Environmental Action Germany reported on 13 October that inspections in September had found uncontrolled methane leaks at gas facilities in northern Germany, western Germany and the Netherlands. The environmental campaigners see these as possible breaches of the EU Methane Regulation. Such reports are likely to spur operators into action. Those who decommission facilities, decontaminate legacy sites, plug orphaned wells or recover energy from waste could benefit. If successful, cleaning up becomes a business. We therefore take a closer look at Bilfinger, Zefiro Methane and Waste Management.
