Digital communication is bringing the world closer together. Our friends may live all over the world, yet we can still share even the smallest moments with them. Being connected does not just help bridge long distances - it also brings people together in our immediate surroundings. Networks can foster friendships or spark new business opportunities locally as well. Using the business models of SAP, Meta, and naoo, we show how technology is changing things locally and making the world a better place.

DAX celebrates, Palantir sets the pace! Strong rebound for Almonty, Mutares, and Steyr!

It is earnings season, with over 200 quarterly reports coming in from around the world every day. Investors are focusing heavily on revenue growth at defense companies. This is because they should benefit significantly from the lavish contracts awarded by NATO and other defense-oriented countries. The environment remains unstable, and geopolitically, anything is possible. However, defense stocks have often risen so far that the hoped-for earnings figures for 2027 to 2030 are already reflected in today's prices. But the rally continues! After a sharp correction at Almonty Industries, many are delighted to have a cheaper entry point into the tungsten expert, as strategic metals are high on the shopping list, especially in the defense sector. The problem is that they are scarce and difficult to obtain. Where are the opportunities for investors?

Palantir, Rheinmetall, RENK, and Dryden Gold: Winners in the crossfire of trade war and NATO agenda

Tariffs, defense, and infrastructure! No wonder there is a considerable gap of around EUR 172 billion in the German federal budget between 2027 and 2029. Although the federal government is attempting to counter this with spending cuts, tax increases will ultimately be necessary, as migration and climate costs are also taking their toll. Those in government who now have to juggle everything at once are in for a rough ride! Government revenues are expected to continue to decline due to the sluggish economy and high inflation, meaning the government will face higher refinancing costs due to rising interest rates. For investors, this means that the price of gold is likely to increase further, making selective investments in precious metals a sensible move. We will briefly analyze whether there is still room for growth in the well-performing defense and military stocks.

Trump tariffs settled? What are the triggers now? Palantir, naoo AG, TeamViewer, and D-Wave

  • Digitization

With the US-EU agreement on tariffs, markets opened positively yesterday but quickly slipped into negative territory. The reason: the agreement is widely viewed as a "loss-making deal" for the EU. While tariffs of over 20% were averted, 15% still remain. In return, NATO must purchase substantial US military equipment, while US vehicle exports to the EU remain tariff-free. Donald Trump could not have negotiated better himself - a diplomatic failure for Brussels. The decision will have a significant impact on the EU's automotive sector, luxury and consumer goods industries, and technology sector. For example, European wine will cost US consumers about 30% more, factoring in currency losses, which is devastating for European winemakers. All in all, this deal is considered a major setback for free trade, with serious inflationary consequences and declining consumer demand. Investors should reposition themselves, as late summer looks stormy from this perspective alone.

  • AI

By 2025, cloud services and artificial intelligence (AI) will become increasingly important. AI infrastructures have become a critical competitive nerve center. Hyperscaling and agentic systems are revolutionizing value chains; those who hesitate will lose out. The drivers are platforms such as Microsoft's new AI cloud generation, which enables the real-time integration of generative AI into core processes. This hyperscaling reduces costs, enhances data protection, and accelerates AI adoption in data-intensive sectors. A billion-dollar market is emerging for pioneers. Three players have strategically positioned themselves: Deutsche Telekom, MiMedia, and Xiaomi.

Plug Power +71%! CAUTION with Evotec! Buy Walmart partner MiMedia shares?

A 71% share price increase in one month. Is this the resurrection of Plug Power shares? The performance is certainly impressive: operational news, insider buying, and a short squeeze are creating a dynamic mix. However, the fundamental problems remain. Those looking for an exciting stock for the second half of the year should take a closer look at MiMedia. The report on the first six months of this cloud hidden gem is expected to be positive and could drive the stock to a new high after its sideways movement. And what is Evotec doing? After last week's positive news, hopes for an upward trend were high. However, analysts are warning of a possible profit warning at the biotech company.

After oil prices surged last week due to the US entering the Middle East conflict, briefly breaking their downward trend that had been in place since March 2022, a massive sell-off followed once tensions eased. As a result, our preferred scenario of new lows for the year remains intact. In contrast, companies in the renewable energy sector showed signs of life after months of correction. Once again, US policy played a key role in this development.

High-tech boom 3.0! Is another 100% possible with Palantir, SAP, MiMedia, and TeamViewer?

  • cloud
  • Software
  • Technology
  • Digitization

Artificial intelligence and big data remain the big topics on the stock markets alongside defense. This is leading to daily gains for high-tech and defense stocks. Investors increasingly appear to view the capital markets as a one-way street, with valuations seemingly taking a back seat. Interestingly, Europe is ahead of the US. Since the tariff dip in April alone, the EURO STOXX 50 has gained around 20%. With Israel's attack on Iran, some uncertainty is now entering the market. However, many investors do not believe the big bull market will change. Only the Shiller P/E ratio for the S&P 500, at over 36, is a cause for caution, given that the long-term average is around 17. But does anyone care? The party is in full swing, and critics are not welcome. So, where do the opportunities lie in the weeks ahead?
