Defense and critical metals – the pressure is rising! Where are Rheinmetall, Renk, Hensoldt, and XXIX Metal headed?
Since August 2023, the Chinese government has continuously issued export control measures for high-tech metals that are important for the semiconductor industry and green technologies. The sharp rise in energy commodities is hindering electrification projects. Copper is indispensable for these projects and will become one of the key raw materials in the coming years, around which innovations revolve. The red metal is an essential component of a completely new energy infrastructure, and trends such as Web 3.0, high-performance computing, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence are exacerbating the scarcity situation. The tech giants, worth billions, want to invest because they need the infrastructure for their business. In Europe, the defense industry is on the verge of reaching new all-time highs. A closer look is required.

Palantir, First Nordic Metals, Barrick Gold – WATCH OUT: These stocks are on the move!
The tech industry celebrates Palantir as an AI pioneer: With a 390% price increase in 2024 and a forecast of USD 3.75 billion in revenue in 2025, the Company is convincing with its government and commercial AI solutions – but the P/E ratio of 600 raises sustainability questions. Meanwhile, First Nordic Metals is building on exploration momentum in the Scandinavian gold sector: new anomalies and cost-efficient drilling techniques are driving the stock. Barrick Gold, in turn, combines robustness (19% revenue growth) with geopolitical challenges in Mali and long-term, large-scale projects. We take a look at which companies offer potential and where valuations could be too high.

TUI stock weak after numbers – Nova Pacific Metals and Super Micro Computer fare much better
The latest quarterly figures from TUI disappointed investors. Despite optimistic booking forecasts, the share price corrected by up to 17% within two days after the expected revenue targets were missed. This raises questions about the sustainability of the travel Company's comeback, which most recently wanted to appeal to new customer groups with low-cost offers. Nova Pacific Metals and Super Micro Computer present a very different picture. Nova Pacific's share price rose by over 80% within three days. Super Micro is raising hopes of a turnaround despite delisting risks due to a new auditor and attractive AI prospects – supported by a low P/E ratio of 10. We take a closer look at the three companies.

Coinbase, Almonty Industries, Tomra Systems – These 3 high-flyers promise returns
The earnings season for the full year 2024 is in full swing, with quite a few companies significantly outperforming analyst forecasts. Another topic currently keeping the world in suspense is US President Donald Trump's "America First" policy. As can be seen from the negotiations with Ukraine, the "new sheriff in town" is concerned with securing rare earth deposits. When it comes to the metal tungsten, however, the US government seems to be already one step ahead, and a lesser-known company is likely to emerge as the winner here.

Globex Mining, Intel, D-Wave: AI Revolution Drives Resources and Semiconductor Market
The course for the future of AI was set this week in France, where 1,500 representatives from politics and business gathered for the international AI summit. The AI revolution is driven by immense energy and semiconductor demand that Europe, with its current energy policy, cannot fulfil. The commodities rally for energy generation is gaining momentum to power the immense data centers. Ideal timing for the explorer Globex Mining, which, with its portfolio of strategic commodities, is a mineral bank for investors. With a strong diversification of commodities and precious metals, there is something for practically every energy requirement. Intel, on the other hand, could experience a recovery through cooperation with TSMC. The stock suffered a 60% decline last year. Quantum computing pioneer D-Wave demonstrates that practical applications of the technology are already in use today. In an open letter, CEO Baratz addresses investors.

DAX 22,000 – New highs for Oklo, Nova Pacific Metals, D-Wave, and SMCI under the microscope!
After a rapid upward movement, the DAX 40 index has reached the magical 22,100-point mark after just 6 weeks of trading. This means that the index has already gained more than 10% since the beginning of the year. Investments in the high-tech and defense sectors continue to drive this. Investors are following the trends that started in 2024. However, this is bringing critical metals to the fore because they are currently subject to sanctions by China under Donald Trump's tariff plans. We are therefore focusing our analysis on companies that are particularly noteworthy under the current circumstances. It is not always a good time to buy, but as the saying goes, you will never go broke taking profits.

Mega rally at First Phosphate, Renk, VW, and BYD with buy signals
The stock markets continue to rise unabated. Those hoping for a correction will be disappointed. Yesterday, the DAX 40 index broke through the 22,000 mark, much faster than many had anticipated. Technology stocks SAP and Siemens remain the driving force, while on the NASDAQ, it is still the Magnificent 7 that is setting the tone. Selection is now key. We turn our attention to the upcoming battery materials supplier, First Phosphate, as well as stocks like Renk, VW, and BYD. While VW is in the middle of restructuring, BYD is continuing on its journey. The defense industry remains interesting, especially Renk. Where should one invest now?

Buy Puma shares now? Caution advised with Renk, Rheinmetall & Co.! Hidden Gem Nova Pacific Metals launches!
Even if it is not what Donald Trump wants to hear, the US is dependent on imports from Canada, particularly for raw materials. The tariff disputes only highlight this. Accordingly, Canadian raw materials stocks are coming to the attention of investors. One such hidden gem is Nova Pacific Metals, but this could change soon. In contrast, defense stocks could face a strong pullback as Donald Trump increases pressure. Is now the time to take profits at Renk, Rheinmetall, and Co.? Puma shareholders have been waiting for price gains for some time. Is now the time to enter the market after the recent crash?

Barrick Gold, First Nordic Metals, MicroStrategy – Profiteers in the bull market
The gold price is unstoppable and reached the USD 2,800 per ounce mark for the first time in its long history during the past trading week. In comparison, gold producers such as Barrick Gold or Newmont are trading well below their highs. However, should the underlying asset remain at this high level, the profits of precious metals companies are likely to skyrocket. By then, producers, as well as exploration companies, should start to catch up.
