Turnaround stocks with a 300% chance do not come along every day - BASF, Defiance Silver and TUI

  • travel

Whenever the stock market reaches new highs, investors look for lagging stocks. This is not so easy because a weak price performance has its reasons. But often, things are simply overlooked. We present three stocks with a good story to tell but have been left behind. BASF, Defiance Silver and TUI were conspicuously undercut. And amid all the turbulence in the financial system, silver is stealthily making its way upwards and easily overcoming the USD 25 mark. Watch out at the edge of the platform!

Mercedes-Benz, Canadian North Resources, Varta - Shortage of battery resources

  • Electromobility

Electromobility and the energy transition are essential to creating a more sustainable future. However, we need raw materials such as copper, nickel, cobalt and lithium to achieve these goals. These resources are an obstacle for many companies. Therefore, car companies are trying to secure access to these scarce resources to secure supplies for their production. In some cases, they are even developing their own batteries. The best example is Volkswagen, which wants to build 6 battery factories in Europe. So today, we look at Mercedes-Benz, analyze a possible supplier with Canadian North Resources and conclude with Varta, Germany's largest battery manufacturer.

Caution at Nel ASA and drumbeat at Volkswagen: Can Canadian North Resources profit?

Things are getting exciting for shareholders of Nel ASA. The hydrogen pioneer will publish its figures for the first quarter tomorrow. A current buy recommendation does not help the share price. At least the expectations for the figures are anything but high at the moment. Is there anything positive to report on the order book? Plug Power recently placed an order with a competitor. In the battery sector, Volkswagen has caused a sensation. The Wolfsburg-based company has announced its intention to build its largest battery factory to date in Canada. The Canadian government is subsidizing the project and expects thousands of new jobs at VW and its suppliers. The latter could include Canadian North Resources. The Company is currently developing a vast area and has already found copper, nickel, cobalt, platinum, and palladium there. Another drilling programme has just been launched. It is hoped that lithium will also be found.

Mercedes-Benz, Canadian North Resources, Rheinmetall: Canada leads the way in raw material supply for electromobility

  • Investments

The energy turnaround is prompting German carmakers such as Mercedes-Benz and defence companies such as Rheinmetall to further expand their search for precious metals. In particular, the Stuttgart-based DAX-listed company has chosen the treasure-rich country of Canada as a cooperation partner for the guaranteed supply of nickel, lithium and cobalt. For explorer Canadian North Resources, such agreements are ideal as the Company pushes ahead with its 100% owned Ferguson Lake nickel, copper, cobalt, palladium and platinum project: further drilling is promising.

Panic at Vonovia and Plug Power - Barrick Gold and Tocvan Ventures shine

  • RealEstate

Concrete gold? Real estate stocks are currently in an absolute panic. The share of Germany's industry leader Vonovia recovered somewhat yesterday, but an end to the downward slide is not in sight. Analysts are also skeptical. The range of price targets is broad, and there is already speculation about an (emergency) capital increase. So buy or sell? The Plug Power share could also use some buying. From a chart perspective, the situation is critical. Fuel cells for smaller forklifts are now being offered. The situation is different at Barrick Gold. The group's share is about to break out to the upside. Price targets for gold of USD 3,000 provide for a good mood. Tocvan Ventures should also benefit from this. The gold and silver explorer published news about its project in Mexico yesterday, and the stock is waking from its slumber - there appears to be further air to the upside.

A new banking crisis in 2023? Deutsche Bank, Blackrock Silver, Commerzbank - Gold and Silver are back!

  • Banking

Central bankers are currently in a huge dilemma. They should fight the price pressure with a tough interest rate policy and gradual withdrawal of liquidity. However, this increases the existing risk of recession and the danger of a new financial crisis worldwide. In fact, past interest rate restrictions have already left grinding marks in the US banking system because gigantic write-downs on price losses still lie dormant in the books of institutions that had believed in eternally low interest rates. After the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and the forced takeover of Credit Suisse, uncertainty has again taken a stranglehold on the markets. Gold and silver reacted with a giant leap. We look at the current situation.

In uncertain times, gold is considered a safe haven and enjoys great popularity among investors. Due to the banking industry's irregularities and Silicon Valley Bank's bankruptcy, a shift from the risky stock market to the precious metals sector was already apparent. This was further reinforced by the wobbling of Credit Suisse. With the crossing of a prominent resistance, the yellow metal is now striving for new highs.

Running out of fuel? BYD, Porsche, VW, Globex Mining - Metals in demand!

In benchmarking, anyone who sees electromobility at the forefront cannot ignore a powerful battery. In the last 3 years, there have been no real leaps forward in development, but at least power compression in lithium-ion technology achieved a doubling of the range and, in parallel, also lowered the previously long charging times. This made an electric vehicle suitable for long-distance travel for the first time, even though faster discharge must be expected in winter due to non-engine services such as heating. But technological development continues, and BYD, as one of the world market leaders, sets technological standards. Which stocks are the favourites in the sector?

A major restructuring is taking place at Volkswagen. The new chief designer will be Michael Mauer, who was previously responsible for the design of Porsche. The Wolfsburg company has big plans and wants to become the No. 1 EV manufacturer in Australia. It is precisely in this country that Manuka Resources mines the essential metals for the energy transition. From gold and silver to vanadium, the Company offers value chains from which investors focusing on renewable energies can benefit. Mercedes Benz, the big flagship from Stuttgart, also relies on renewable energies and is massively expanding its battery production sites.

COP27 shares sought: BASF, Infinity Stone, Varta, VW - Billions for the energy turnaround!

The meeting of the heads of government in Egypt was proclaimed as a COP27 climate conference, but most of the representatives arrived in a somewhat environmentally hazardous manner with specially ordered aircraft. It can be seen on the Internet on the fringes of the important conference, and climate activists have therefore turned their eyes very strongly in the direction of the prominent participants. Different sources report between 300 and 600 planes around Sharm el-Sheikh airport. What a farce. The word "energy turnaround" seems to have been greatly overused in the public eye since the beginning of the war at the latest, so a coherent implementation of the proclaimed goals should also take place at the very top. The industry, meanwhile, has picked up the ball and is making rapid progress. Which shares can gain traction in the process?
