Comeback stocks: Nel, Aurora Cannabis, Barrick Gold, Tocvan Ventures

  • Mining
  • Gold
  • Hydrogen
  • Cannabis

Gold, cannabis and hydrogen could be among the top trends of the coming year - also on the stock market. Due to full order books, Nel could be poised for a comeback in 2023. At least sales are already secured until mid-2024. Now, all that is left is to cut the loss to reach analysts' price targets. Aurora Cannabis has largely completed its turnaround and is also hoping for legalization in Europe and the US. Driven by a strong gold price, mining stocks have already jumped. Now exploration companies should follow. Tocvan Ventures is one of them. And with the gold explorer, investors can look forward to a regular news flow in the coming year. Are the three candidates comeback stocks in 2023?

SynBiotic SE, Cardiol Therapeutics, Canopy Growth - Like hitting the jackpot

The final draft of the German government's key issues paper on the legalization of cannabis in Germany is ready, and final approval is likely to be a mere formality. For the companies concerned, this is equivalent to winning the lottery. The global cannabis market is expected to grow by 13.9% annually to USD 64.91 billion between 2022 and 2027. However, these profit increases have yet to reach the stock market. Some companies, for example, are trading below cash, while others lost more than 90% of their value in the correction that has been underway since 2019.

Uncertainties concerning the global geopolitical situation and concerns about a further cooling of the economy with simultaneous rising inflation have caused shares and other asset classes, such as commodities and precious metals, to correct significantly in recent months. With the publication of the quarterly figures, the negative share development of many companies is confirmed with the latest values. However, there are also positive surprises, which have the chance of a significant outperformance due to their presented figures and the positive outlook.

BioNTech, XPhyto, Valneva - It is over!

  • Biotechnology
  • Covid19
  • Cannabis

In an interview with the television station "CBS", the most powerful man in the world, US President Joe Biden, declared the pandemic over. While people in Germany have to wear face masks to the Oktoberfest in local and long-distance transport and then blare the latest hits from Mallorca in the marquee, without masks, of course, outside the former growth engine of Europe, relaxation seems to be setting in regarding COVID-19. A blow to the global vaccine industry! Meanwhile, a new market is growing unnoticed in the healthcare industry that could trigger a lasting trend in the near future.

Novavax, Cardiol, MorphoSys - Here's the second wave of Corona vaccine plays!

  • Cannabis

The number of new Corona infections reported to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) within one day has reached an all-time high. 236,120 additional cases were recorded, bringing the number of people in Germany who were confirmed to be infected with Sars-CoV-2 to 10.4 million. However, the number of unreported cases is significantly higher. Vaccine manufacturers from the early days have been able to clear the table in recent months, and now new companies such as Novavax and Valneva are entering the scene. But not all innovative approaches to fighting Corona are on the radar of investors. These are perfect conditions for a second share price wave.

Ayurcann, Novavax, Covestro - The stragglers are coming!

  • Cannabis

Humanity continues to find itself in the clutches of the Corona pandemic, the infection figures are rising, and the demand from politicians for mandatory vaccination is becoming louder and louder. While BioNTech and Pfizer vaccines and Moderna have dominated to date, new vaccine manufacturers are entering the market in the next wave. The situation is similar in the cannabis industry. After a boom about 3 years ago, the market leaders have since lost up to 80% of their value. Legalization and the rise of Cannabis 3.0. will pave the way for new companies.

Tilray, Ayurcann, Aurora Cannabis - When will the boom 2.0 come?

  • Cannabis

About five years ago, the boom of cannabis stocks started. Companies like Aurora Cannabis, Canopy Growth and Tilray were able to multiply within a few months. However, the boom was followed by a quick end on the stock market. With corrections of 90% in some cases, the exaggerations were harshly corrected. However, the cannabis market is still in a strong growth phase. The legalization in many countries and the cannabis 3.0 wave promise the companies enormous growth leaps in the next few years. Thus, the steep rise seen at the time could be repeated, at least to some extent.

Upcoming hydrogen and cannabis boom - Nel ASA, Ayurcann, Canopy Growth

  • Cannabis

These two completely different sectors have one thing in common. After both cannabis stocks and hydrogen sector companies multiplied in the past, a significant correction set in during the stock market year soon ending. This correction is likely to continue into the new year 2022. In the long term, however, there are outstanding opportunities both for cannabis, through legalization in various European countries, and for hydrogen, urgently needed for the energy transition. It is time to position yourself.

Novavax, Sativa Wellness Group, Bayer - The next wave ignites

There is great concern in society due to the Omicron variant. Reason enough for politicians to further tighten measures, even for the approximately 70% of fully vaccinated people in the Federal Republic. The federal and state governments decided on stricter contact restrictions, large events without spectators and a new vaccination target. By the end of January, a further 30 million booster, first and second vaccinations are to be achieved. As a result, vaccine manufacturers are experiencing another boom. Meanwhile, a new vaccine is coming to Germany to change the minds of vaccination skeptics.
