The Biotech breakout: Bayer and Eli Lilly flex their muscles - are Novo Nordisk, Evotec and BioNxt the next winners?
That was a week of selling on the NASDAQ! The technology index lost a full 5% in its renewed attempt to exceed the 30,000-point mark. Chip stocks, which had previously performed excellently, came under considerable pressure, followed by subdued figures from Alphabet, Microsoft and, most recently, Intel. The result was hefty double-digit losses; this sector has not seen this much uncertainty in a long time. Things are very different in the biotech sector. At 7,319 points, the underlying NASDAQ Biotech Index only narrowly missed its all-time high of 7,458 points. Leading players such as Bayer and Eli Lilly brought a breath of fresh air to the sector, which could now significantly outperform other industries towards the end of the year. We take a closer look at some of the protagonists.

Life Sciences in Focus as Sector Rotation Takes Shape: Bayer, Vidac Pharma, Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk and Evotec in 2027
AI is consolidating, and the Life Sciences sector is firing up its first turbo: Rising healthcare spending, the demographic ageing wave and a veritable wave of innovation are catapulting the industry straight into a multi-year supercycle – and now the major players are reallocating their capital. AI and high-tech have delivered their returns, and now the new outperformers for 2027 are stepping into the spotlight. The catch: after years of heavy losses, most stocks are trading close to their 5-year lows. That will not last! Some companies are already waiting in the wings, with the painful restructuring completed. Leading the way, Novo Nordisk continues its relentless advance as the undisputed flagship of the global obesity and diabetes wave. A genuine hidden gem for return hunters is Vidac Pharma. Through its research into the Warburg effect, the biotech firm is revolutionising cancer therapy and, as a classic high-beta play, adds a dash of spice to opportunity-focused portfolios. The giant Bayer is also back, consistently using the current valuation lull as a major entry opportunity to ignite the next phase of growth with a revamped pipeline. The power quartet is completed by Hamburg-based drug discovery company Evotec, which benefits directly from demand for complex therapies as an indispensable infrastructure and development partner. Those who want to stay ahead in the coming Life Sciences boom need to set the course for their portfolio now!

Strong Stock Gains from the Green Transition! How Coca-Cola, Bayer, MustGrow and PepsiCo Are Preparing for the Future
Created and Published on Behalf of MustGrow Biologics Corp.
Despite regulatory progress, global food security remains precarious. According to a recent report by Welthungerhilfe and partner organisations, around a tenth of the world's population suffers from acute malnutrition. Global crises such as climate change and armed conflicts are further exacerbating the situation. Large corporations must therefore go beyond statutory minimum standards and guarantee fair purchase prices to strengthen the resilience of smallholder farms. Only by firmly linking corporate due diligence with sustainable farming practices can the UN Sustainable Development Goal of ending hunger be achieved in the long term. To steer multinational corporations' market power toward more sustainable practices, the European Union is increasingly turning to regulation. A key instrument is the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), which, from 2026, is intended to require comprehensive compliance with human rights and environmental standards throughout the value chain. Large agricultural and food companies must therefore demonstrate that their suppliers do not destroy local livelihoods, such as access to clean drinking water or fertile land. For investors, these developments are creating a range of opportunities around an emerging megatrend. Allocating a portion of a portfolio to the food, beverage and crop science sectors may therefore make sense.
