Tesla is out; SMRs are in! Green hydrogen in focus at nucera, Nel ASA, Plug Power, First Hydrogen, and Oklo

  • Hydrogen
  • greenhydrogen
  • renewableenergies

Even if Donald Trump denies climate change, the international community still has hydrogen and alternative energies on the agenda. Within the new US administration, nuclear projects have been under discussion for several months, alongside an emphasis on fossil fuels. Small modular reactors (SMRs) are being discussed in this context. They can be planned and put into operation in a much shorter time and are highly flexible in their applications. In the US, Oklo is moving forward in this area, and the Canadian company First Hydrogen is also in the starting blocks to roll out its innovative solutions. This means that green hydrogen remains in focus. Which stocks are coming to the fore?

Steyr Motors, Power Metallic Mines, BYD – From unique selling point to market leader

  • Mining

  • Electromobility
  • Defense

In the context of geopolitical tariffs and green transformation, drive technology, raw material extraction, and e-mobility are merging into key sectors. While US automotive tariffs are setting new rules from 2025, three players are driving systemic solutions: Steyr Motors, a pioneer in high-performance hybrid engines; Power Metallic Mines, which is setting ESG standards with carbon-neutral nickel; and BYD, which is dominating e-mobility through innovation. Their strategies – technological sovereignty, vertical integration, and resource-efficient ecosystems – demonstrate how the apparent contradictions between decarbonization and industrial reality can be overcome. Three companies, one mission: to shape the value chain of tomorrow.

RENK – The armaments hype is waning. First Phosphate and Volkswagen are taking advantage of the upswing in electromobility!

  • Mining
  • phosphate
  • Defense
  • Electromobility

The demand for armaments stocks is waning. Despite record orders for tank transmissions from the RENK Group and global security investments, the defense boom is flattening out - partly because these stocks have become fundamentally expensive. At the same time, electromobility is gathering pace: The EU predicts a 38% increase in the number of electric vehicles registered in 2025, driven by Germany's planned tax breaks and subsidies for hybrids. This surge requires raw materials to produce lithium iron phosphate batteries, which is where First Phosphate comes into play. Meanwhile, Volkswagen is currently exploring the production of military vehicles, but is also pushing into the market with new electric vehicles and charging systems. Investments for the future should flow into green technologies, not tank production.

Insider Buying: Almonty Industries CEO buys again

  • Mining
  • Tungsten
  • Investments

Two purchases in just a few days - what is behind Lewis Black's confidence in his own company, and why could tungsten soon become the most strategically important metal in the Western world? In times of geopolitical tension, it is often the small signals that herald big things. On March 28 and again on March 31, 2025, Lewis Black, CEO of Almonty Industries Inc., announced that he had bought 50,000 shares of his own company on the stock exchange. Insider purchases like this are rarely a coincidence – they demonstrate conviction and deep confidence in the Company's future trajectory. For experienced investors, this is a strong signal: the man at the top truly believes in the story.

Was that the Trump crash? Nevertheless, steeply upwards with Evotec, Bayer, BioNTech, Defence Therapeutics, or Valneva?

  • Biotechnology
  • Biotech
  • Pharma

Since November 2024, Donald Trump has driven the markets sharply upward - his controversial new presidency was largely celebrated by investors. Now, his leadership feels somewhat unsettling, with fires seemingly being set again at every corner. The new president is acting more imperiously than ever, with Panama, Canada, and Greenland verbally on the agenda as the next US states. Meanwhile, the US administration is facing a considerable deficit, which is to be addressed by drastically reducing the size of the public sector and introducing tariffs. Unsurprisingly, interest rates are now rising sharply, which is a reason for weaker prices in the biotech sector. However, the sector has done its homework and is emerging from a three-year downturn. Are we now at buying levels?

BYD, MiMedia Holdings, Xiaomi – Interesting entry opportunities

The first quarter of the 2025 stock market year is history and has been sobering. With the election of Donald Trump last November, the markets started an impressive rally. The DAX, Dow Jones, and Bitcoin marked historic highs. However, these gains were wiped out in the following months by the imposition of punitive tariffs, escalating trade wars, and an uncertain geopolitical situation. Nevertheless, the consolidation has had some positive effects. In the technology sector, valuations that had become somewhat exaggerated have returned to a more normal level.

After a 200% surge, is a takeover now on the cards? Almonty Industries ignites the next stage!

  • Mining
  • Tungsten

Almost daily, the capital markets must contend with new announcements from the White House. One day, it is the US distancing itself from NATO; the next, there are demands that poorly defended Greenland should join the US as quickly as possible. At first glance, Donald Trump appears to be a stag gone wild in his dealings with his transatlantic allies, but at second glance, a strategy emerges. The US administration fears losing power and an international conspiracy against the US dollar. The hegemony of the West has been faltering since Russia formed an alliance with the BRICS countries and established a new power bloc. The problem: Western industries remain highly dependent on raw material supplies from these emerging states. Now, it is becoming clear where the journey is headed for the West: Securing raw material sources, building up a new military strike force, and ensuring mutual security in case of need, even without US support. Whoever can deliver strategic metals in this scenario is king. A glance at the chart of Almonty Industries (EUR 1.30; WKN: A1JSSD; ISIN: CA0203981034; TSX: AII) illustrates the plight: time is of the essence!

300% price rocket or hydrogen high flyer! Renk, Nel ASA, and dynaCERT

  • Hydrogen
  • greenhydrogen
  • Defense

Another 30% upside with Renk shares? Analysts believe the defense company has room to grow. However, they are largely alone in this view, and the share price has already performed well. The situation is different for dynaCERT. The cleantech company is recommended as a "Buy" with 300% upside potential. With a German top management team, revenue is expected to multiply in the coming years, making the stock look like a bargain at current levels. Meanwhile, the Nel share appears cheap on the surface. However, the euphoria over Samsung's entry was short-lived, and a potential military order has failed to spark momentum. Was the market reaction justified?
