Plug Power, Desert Gold, BYD - Discover the opportunities
"If you do not have the stocks when they fall, you do not have them when they rise." These wise words from a famous quote from stock market legend André Kostolany are little consolation to investors whose portfolios have melted considerably in recent months. In the long term, however, there are many attractive opportunities to enter strongly corrected companies at the current level. In addition to the stock market, other asset classes such as cryptocurrencies and precious metals also offer opportunities for disproportionate price gains in the future, despite the current uncertain environment.

These stocks are fighting the energy crisis: BASF, Nel ASA, JinkoSolar and Globex Mining
The current energy crisis is a homemade problem that has been felt primarily in Europe since the start of the war. For decades, Europe has relied on raw material supplies from Russia, and now, these have been sanctioned. Although the "old continent" has already made astonishing progress in upgrading its renewable energies, there is a threat of further price increases, blackouts and even electricity rationing if gas and oil supplies fail to materialize in the coming winter. By mid-2022, there were green power yields of between 43% and 61% of grid capacity, fossil fuels now account for only 15 to 20%, and nuclear power has been contributing only about 3.5% for several years. Nevertheless, a difficult winter probably looms because the fossil component is more than uncertain. Equity investors should look closely at who can prevail in this environment.

Biotech funds looking over their shoulders: Bavarian Nordic, Cardiol Therapeutics, Valneva
A recent study by Accenture shows that consumers are not willing to reduce their spending on health and wellness - even if things are not going well economically. Despite uncertainties, respondents see spending in the areas of "health" and "fitness" as "essential." Those who pay for these areas are also likely to want to exhaust all options when it comes to health insurance benefits, such as medications and vaccines. Informed patients and consumers put pressure on their doctors when new therapies are available. Health insurers, who are also in competition with each other, are taking this into account. We highlight three biotech stocks and do the investment check.

K+S, Barsele Minerals, Barrick Gold - Are the good times coming after the bad?
While the gold price is under pressure from the strong US dollar and rising interest rates, European fertilizer producers are struggling with high gas prices, representing almost 90% of variable costs in production. However, the first positive trends can be observed in both markets. In gold, the critical support level of USD 1620 has held, and there, the market bounced dynamically upwards. Fertilizer prices rose in September in almost all segments. Reason enough to take a closer look at two gold companies and the German fertilizer producer K+S.

The problem solvers: Plug Power, BioNTech, Almonty Industries
Rarely have there been as many global crises and challenges as there are right now. In addition to the war in Ukraine, there is Corona, an arguably inevitable recession, and the energy crisis - not to mention long-standing challenges such as the fight against cancer and climate change. Companies want to help solve these problems, and BioNTech is one of these companies. The Wiesbaden-based Company was not only successful in the fight against COVID-19. They are currently taking on cancer. And the CEO has recently been very positive. Almonty Industries wants to help reduce dependence on raw materials from China and Russia, and one Company has already given it long-term purchase guarantees. And Plug Power wants to help solve the energy crisis and fight climate change. The recent numbers have disappointed, but analysts see upside potential. We look at the current performance of the three problem solvers.

Deutsche Bank, Meta Materials, Aixtron - A time for optimists
Fears of a global recession and a hard landing of the economy are becoming more likely every day. The sharp rise in the US dollar, the energy crisis in Europe and the slump in growth in China are the main reasons for the prevailing pessimism. Concerns about a further sell-off are also growing on the stock markets. Last week, for example, the Fear & Greed Index peaked at 18 with the verdict "extreme fear". In parallel, the S&P 500 also marked its interim low. Since then, the signs have been pointing to recovery, both in sentiment and on the markets. An opportunity for the optimists!

Defence Therapeutics, Commerzbank - Like BioNTech in March 2020?
After price shocks and recession fears, the pandemic has also been back in the public eye since last week. German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach presented the vaccination strategy for the fall - and warned of an autumn wave. On the markets, the pandemic should be over, with a few exceptions. But Corona and BioNTech are suitable blueprints for other companies. We explain where else a special boom could occur and where investors are better off being cautious.

Nel ASA, dynaCERT, Plug Power - Hydrogen market booming
In January 2021, the first hydrogen hype came to an end. Subsequently, many shares in the sector lost more than 80% in value. However, since the outbreak of the Ukraine conflict, the sector has again come into focus. The reason is the energy shortage, especially in Europe. Green hydrogen promises to store energy and consume it when needed. But since the US climate and tax package has provided hundreds of billions of dollars for zero-emission technologies, this market is also seen as promising. So politically, there is a tailwind for the industry. We, therefore, take a look at three companies with hydrogen technologies.

Attention, turnaround: Bayer, BioNTech, Defence Therapeutics, MorphoSys - These biotech stocks are way down!
Even though more people are being diagnosed with cancer today, and the disease remains the leading cause of death, the number of people dying from cancer is trending downward. In recent years, respectively, survival rates have been steadily increasing. The relative proportion of survivors based on all cancer types in the US has increased from 50% to more than 67% over the past two decades, so today, two out of three patients with a serious disease are still alive after five years. In Europe, too, there has been an increase in 5-year survival rates for the most common cancer types. This is encouraging and draws attention to the oncology sector. Which biotech stocks are significant here and offer a good entry point?

Almonty Industries, Mercedes-Benz, Amazon - Strong raw materials for profitable cloud technology
To ensure that logistics and supply chains are better protected against failures in the future, the Mercedes-Benz Group is relying on a strong partner for the internal cloud: Microsoft. Through global networking, potential supply bottlenecks are to be identified and cushioned at an early stage. The rapidly increasing demand for semiconductor and battery technology is bringing companies like Almonty Industries into focus. In the raw materials sector, the Company has specialized in tungsten mining in geopolitically secure areas such as South Korea. The metal tungsten is a key element for the computer and automotive industry. Top dog Amazon is also increasingly relying on its cash cow AWS. While the e-commerce business is being pushed by marketing campaigns, the Group is developing smart processors for its cloud business.
