Where gold shines brightest: Barrick Gold, Desert Gold, Uniper

  • Mining
  • Gold
  • Energy

Secretly and quietly, gold has stalked towards the USD 1,800 mark. The reasons are the weaker dollar in combination with a possible end of the interest rate turnaround and the growing uncertainty: Even if current economic data, such as the recently published US labor market report, give hope, the risks are growing in the long term. We look at two exciting gold stocks and use the example of Uniper to explain why gold could soon be booming.

What to buy cheap? BYD and Uniper, BASF and Manuka Resources are on the rise

Even if BYD delivers close to 100,000 vehicles to Sixt in the next few years, this is not a guarantee for rising share prices. After all, major shareholder Warren Buffet is divesting his Chinese hobby horse. Does he know more? Is it a portfolio decision, or does he want to preemptively counter possible geopolitical surprises related to Taiwan? We do not know. The fact remains: Buffet has a lot of followers, and that is forcing the BYD price further and further down. Meanwhile, BASF reports good numbers and pushes further north with a seasonally firm DAX - who would have thought? We dive a little deeper.

China as a risk factor? Here is how it looks: Uniper, TubeSolar, BASF

  • photovoltaics
  • Solar
  • renewableenergies

China has repeatedly been a source of risk in recent years: We think of the real estate bubble or the trade war with the US. Now, one of China's supposed plus points could become a risk factor: the authoritarian central regime in Beijing. In just four minutes, we explain what the nationwide protests against Chinese lockdowns mean and how investors can use foresight to gain information advantages.

Sharp price movements at Uniper and Varta, E.ON and Tocvan Ventures on the launch pad!

  • Mining

The Federal Network Agency reports this week that German gas reserves will be sufficient for 9 to 10 weeks. According to Adam Riese, this means that without new supplies, a bottleneck would be imminent from mid-February. Gas buyers are still hoping that European partners will support our supplies accordingly. In the winter months, however, they will need a large proportion in their own countries. Therefore, we are entering this winter with question marks, which has now returned with the first snow. In the current environment, some stock movements appear with special movements, for example, the 100% rally of the state-owned company Uniper.

Deutsche Bank, Desert Gold, Uniper: Watch out for the financial crisis!

The energy crisis is pushing utilities to the brink, the election victory of the radical right-wing party Fratelli d'Italia is putting a strain on the EU - and what are banks doing in this context? Weeks ago, Germany's top banking supervisor Raimund Rösler warned that the rapid turnaround in interest rates could also overburden some institutions. We look at banks, gas traders and a possible laughing third party.

Uniper and Kion in shock, partial mobilization at BASF and Meta Materials

For the first time in recent history, an announced appearance by Putin did not take place. In the morning yesterday, the news finally rang out that Russia had been so afraid of for the past few weeks: Putin announced partial mobilization. It likely involves an additional 300,000 troops who will now go into mobilization. News about the war apparently only impacts the stock market if it also conceals economic news, because the market rose despite expected escalations. However, the consensus now seems to be that a sharp slowdown in economic growth is expected worldwide. Currently, many stocks are adjusting to a new view: interest rates are back, so capitalization models are recalculating, especially for growth stocks. Where should attention be paid now?

Nordex, Alpha Copper, Uniper - Forward-looking change

  • Mining
  • Copper
  • greenhydrogen

The demand for copper will increase rapidly in the coming years due to the shift to renewable energies. By 2030, 250% more copper will be needed for chargers in electric vehicles. Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex also needs the highly conductive metal. A wind farm in Ireland is being topped up with new turbines, but other factors are affecting the Company's figures, so there seems to be no end in sight to its red figures this year. Energy group Uniper is also still struggling. Despite the gas levy, maintaining ongoing operations remains a real test. Where is an investment worthwhile?

Stock roulette! Sell-off at Uniper and Deutsche Bank, Kleos Space sets a good mood!

Again a weak start to the week. After a tentative recovery in the first half of August, it is now back to business. With 13,930 on the DAX, the bear market rally seems to have been completed. Today, a low of 13,250 is already on the board again. The stock market now has war, even higher inflation and a coming recession to price in, so the relatively high level is already surprising. However, there is still hope, and some selected share titles have already fallen far. The time of the bargain hunters is thus perhaps also no longer far away. We provide a few ideas.

Erin Ventures, Uniper, BASF - How business continues to grow outside Germany

  • Mining
  • boron
  • chemicals

Old hands in the market like BASF are in a strong transformation process. Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine has put the energy supply from gas on the line. But global players like the Ludwigshafen-based company already have a plan B, to the delight of shareholders. The situation is very different at Uniper AG. Here, the great dependence on Russian gas supplies and the expensive world market contracts that the Company had to conclude brought Germany's largest gas supplier to the brink of bankruptcy in recent weeks. The German government is spending EUR 15 billion to keep the Company afloat. At the taxpayer's expense. Erin Ventures shows where it is really worth investing now with the Element Boron.

Crash stocks: BASF, Meta Materials, Uniper, Nordex - Will there be a comeback like Tesla?

  • Technology
  • chemicals

In stock market corrections that come from the interest rate and inflation side, when the relationship between inflation and capital market returns normalizes is critical. In the long NASDAQ upswing from 2019 to 2021, valuations doubled as future cash flows were extrapolated down to present value with minimal interest rates. That let potential market caps explode, and leveraged positions could also be taken at virtually no cost. Currently, the market is showing a different side. Negative real interest rates, high refinancing costs and increased margin calls are weighing on investors' minds. Some stocks experienced a real crash - will they bounce back soon like Tesla?
