Increased uncertainties in geopolitics, rampant inflation with exploding commodity and energy prices, and higher interest rates are making it increasingly difficult for companies to meet the forecasts they issued at the beginning of the year. Recent examples include battery manufacturer Varta and real estate financier Hypoport, which had to withdraw their annual targets. In addition, however, a number of companies have been able to surprise on the upside despite all the challenges.

The German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock of the Green Party considers the Ukraine crisis to be "absolutely dicey". So far, however, she sees "no signs that the warlike confrontation is already a done deal," Baerbock said on ARD's Tagesthemen. The current situation at food delivery company Delivery Hero is also more than dicey. The DAX newcomer, included in the German benchmark index in place of Wirecard, has lost around 40% in stock market value. It could quickly fall back into the second tier.

EXMceuticals, KWS Saat, Nokia: Talk about crashes and comebacks
When the EXMceuticals share was quoted above the 1 EUR mark last summer, the sky hung full of violins for cannabis investors. In North America, the active ingredient was largely liberalized, and in other regions of the world, too, it seemed that cannabis would soon become a medical substance like many others. But at least the hype has died down on the stock market. In the meantime, EXMceuticals shares are trading at just EUR 0.12. What has happened?
