Infrastructure hype in 2025: Sustainable construction is in demand! Keep an eye on Siemens, Heidelberg Materials, Argo Graphene, and Porr

A lot is falling apart around the world right now, not just in material terms, but also structurally. Wars, geopolitical tensions, and economic upheavals are putting entire regions under pressure. Although Germany is not directly affected militarily, the consequences of the wear and tear are clearly noticeable here as well: our infrastructure, which has been criminally neglected for decades, is increasingly showing cracks, both literally and figuratively. Dilapidated bridges, overloaded rail networks, outdated power lines, and sluggish fibre optic expansion are now even hampering competitiveness. Europe has recognized these weaknesses and is responding with ambitious investment programs. The Green Deal, the EU Recovery Fund, and national economic stimulus packages are set to pour billions into sustainable mobility, energy supply, digitalization, and resilience. Where are the winners for your portfolio?

This trillion-dollar disruption is also sustainable for your portfolio: Argo Living Soils, Beyond Meat, Heidelberg Materials

Investors have seen it before: ambitious plans and grand revolutions that ultimately come to nothing - at least from an investor's perspective. The best example is the vegan revolution led by Beyond Meat – the Company's share chart certainly leaves a bad taste for any investor. But does that mean investors should be particularly critical of major innovations? We explain which disruptions truly deliver sustainable returns. It is all about sustainable construction - and benefits for all parties involved.

Is RENK riding the next wave? Heidelberg Materials and Argo Living are at the forefront of sustainability!

Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the recent tensions in transatlantic relations have triggered a profound change in the financial sector. Today, Fund managers ask themselves which criteria can be used as "ESG-compliant" or "sustainable" in this new era. The industry remains divided when it comes to defense companies. Nevertheless, fund managers are almost forced to invest in defense in order not to miss out on the steep return trend in 2025. Investors find themselves caught between expected returns and the desire for peace and stability. For RENK shares, this dilemma has given rise to dream returns that, in our view, are not yet reflected in the current figures. Heidelberg Materials and Argo Living, on the other hand, are focusing on sustainable products and have delivered impressive balance sheets so far. Investors should proceed selectively.

The alternative to concrete gold: Vonovia, Hong Lai Huat, HeidelbergCement

  • RealEstate
  • Gold

Concrete gold and tangible assets - these two terms have probably been used the most in the past ten years or more. The run on real estate began as early as after the great financial crisis. In retrospect, it is almost amusing that the first warnings of a bursting real estate bubble were sounded as early as the mid-10s. But the trend continued, on and on. Most recently, residential real estate prices have risen by around 12% in a single quarter. Once again, warnings of an end to the upswing are being voiced, such as by Deutsche Bank. But how strongly can real estate correct? Or will the real estate boom continue? Today, we present three shares as an alternative to apartments and highlight the particular advantages of real estate shares.

SGL Carbon, Almonty Industries, HeidelbergCement - Prices are going through the roof

  • Tungsten

Supply chain disruptions and shortages of certain raw materials were already occurring well before Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Last year, for example, the shortage of semiconductors in the automotive industry already led to short-time working and production plant closures. Current geopolitical tensions are exacerbating inflationary developments. For the first time, the central banks are attempting to counteract this. However, a further escalation of the price spiral is anything but unlikely. The profiteers here are the commodity producers.

Bayer, Almonty Industries, HeidelbergCement - Delivered

To start, the good news, the inflation rate fell in January for the first time since December 2020. However, the level of 4.9% remains at a threateningly high level, and economists had expected a sharper fall. The main reasons for the inflation are the continued exorbitant rise in energy prices and rising commodities prices. High inflation is reducing consumers' purchasing power. In addition, rising production costs are squeezing companies' margins.

HeidelbergCement, Silkroad Nickel, BYD: Shares with an explosive mix

  • Nickel

You do not have to be an economist or a well-connected investment guru to evaluate opportunities on the stock market. It is often the apparent developments and trends that point the market in the right direction. For investors, it is then a matter of interpreting these facts. For example, building materials are scarcer than ever - prices for wood and other essential materials have risen rapidly. Industrial metals are also in high demand. New technology, investment in construction and infrastructure, and the end of the pandemic make for an explosive mix.

HeidelbergCement, Pollux Properties, Aareal Bank: Better than concrete gold

  • Real Estate

Real estate is the Germans' favorite asset class. Even during the first lockdown, market participants did not lose their nerve. Although the current situation for commercial real estate is not exactly rosy, with vacancies even in many inner-city locations, at least residential real estate is developing as if there were no crisis. Reason enough to take a closer look at three real estate stocks.
