Barrick Gold, Palantir Technologies, Osino Resources: Take a deep breath!

  • Gold

Small clearance sale! On wild vaccine Monday, the price of gold fell nearly USD 100 but has so far held at the critical support level of USD 1,850 after Pfizer and BioNTech announced a potential vaccine against the COVID-19 virus. Many investors hold gold and silver (also beaten by 7%) as crisis protection. This can go wrong in the short term - but in the long term, it is exciting.

"The virus may disappear, but that doesn't mean that economic growth will turn around on a cent," said Ole Hansen, Head of Commodity Strategy at Saxo Bank. "A lot of damage has been done that cannot be easily repaired or will take a long time to fix". That's just the way it is - COVID-19 changes a lot of things, especially the risk mentality of people. The economies have to go in new directions in 2021/22.

NEL ASA, Velocity Minerals, Barrick Gold - the next chance!

The market does what it wants. Anticipating a worst-case scenario, the markets drew a zig-zag ahead of Tuesday’s election but then settled back into a positive momentum. Dax alone made-up almost 700 points after the index plunged below 12,000 on Wednesday. Although the election spectacle is still not over, the stock markets are rising as if there were no tomorrow. On a positive note, gold has held on to its crucial support zone and is marching dynamically towards its all-time high. A breakout should be a matter of time.

Barrick Gold, SolGold and BP: is it worth to be invested?

  • Resources

For commodity producers, the price development of the underlying commodity often sets the pace for the share price development. Nevertheless, cost position and new potentials can cancel out this first rule. Diversification across several commodity classes can also prove advantageous. Project quality and the ability to adapt quickly to different conditions are a top priority. Who has done his homework well?

Bayer, Barrick, Desert Gold: In Gold we trust!

  • Gold

The global economy moving at different speeds. In the USA, the ISM index for services is once again expanding slightly. In China, the mood in the service industry is once again pointing to a veritable recovery. In the eurozone, the economic sentiment examined by the analyst firm, Sentix, remains robust but without any new highs. Even with the rising infection rate, the pandemic will come to an end eventually. In Germany, economic data such as industrial orders, production, and exports, showed a slight slowdown in August. Nevertheless, the stock markets are swinging to new heights daily, as the latent threat from the infection necessitates further liquidity packages from governments. This monetary policy continues to imply very low-interest rates, a weakening USD, and rising inflation expectations. This environment should keep the demand for precious metals at least at a high level, so we remain on the lookout.

BioNTech, Barrick Gold, Velocity Minerals - Golden Times!

No! The end of the gold price increase has yet to be reached. The problems, which have become even more acute in recent months due to the pandemic, will not disappear overnight. It is understandable that the price of the precious metal will briefly collapse because "Big Donald" is saluting himself, or the helicopter pilot who brought him safely back to the White House after his short, three-day intermezzo in the military hospital. He wants to show that he has quickly left Corona behind him. However, among his many headwinds, the President now faces the US election, the still high number of Covid-19 cases in the US, the rapidly increasing national debt, and the unchecked money printing of the central banks. At least in terms of case numbers, there is positive news from BioNTech. The Corona vaccine candidate, developed by the Mainz-based company, is entering the approval phase.

Barrick Gold, Newmont, Blackrock Gold: Opportunities in the sloping market

  • Precious Metals

First the central banks and now possibly a generous new US President Joe Biden - when it comes to reasons for rising prices, market commentators always find an explanation. But one thing is sure: most support measures or capital injections are bought with capital that has either been borrowed or created by central banks. In any case, such measures should also boost the price of gold. Barrick Gold's stock looks back on a successful year and has gained a significant 53% - but how much potential does the gold blue-chip still have after the rise?

Barrick, Desert Gold, Gazprom: Using volatility wisely

  • Investments

The stock exchange is not a one-way street, and for this reason, there are also fluctuations in price formation. There is no such thing as a fair valuation that statically determines the value of a share. Every investor has different motives in investment decisions and about the timing of the sale. The only common denominator of investors and speculators is the goal to make money. Shares with high volatility are predestined for speculative traders, while investors usually prefer that a company's share price continuously increases in value.

BAT, Barrick Gold, Osino Resources: Supposed political risks, a burden, and an opportunity

  • Investments

Businesses, like citizens, operate within the regulatory framework. In this way, the state guarantees peaceful coexistence. But what if the legal framework changes? It is easy for individuals to adapt to new circumstances. It can be more challenging for companies - for example, if a business model is shaken by regulatory requirements. The best example is the tobacco company BAT. Recently, the German Bundesrat cleared the way for a law that further restricts advertising for tobacco products. Even e-cigarettes, celebrated by the industry as a source of hope, will be subject to the likely ban. Cinema advertising, marketing activities, etc will also be restricted in the future.

Barrick Gold, Blackrock Gold, Osino Resources: buy when weak?

  • Gold

The price of gold and silver has come under pressure in the past few days and so too has the price of the shares of the companies involved in the creation of value for precious metals. The fear of another lockdown in connection with the Corona pandemic seems to be worrying the markets. Against this backdrop the central banks and governments continue to support the economy with measures. The correction in precious metals may now be an opportunity to enter, because when the presses are running at full speed, the oldest currency in the world is usually a safe haven.

B2Gold, Barrick Gold, Desert Gold: Did Warren Buffett bet on the right horse?

  • Gold

The price of gold has stabilized above the USD 1,900.00 per troy ounce mark in recent weeks. Against the background that the Corona Pandemic is not slowing down and that a second wave is becoming measurable in many places, the actions taken by governments and central banks are continuing cheerfully, thus ensuring further demand for the world's oldest currency. Those who want to protect their assets are probably best off buying shares in a gold company like Warren Buffett, and for those who can't decide, there is also a solution.
