BYD and Altech with strong news: Hope for BioNTech shares?

  • Technology
  • Electromobility
  • Biotechnology

Rising interest rates, the war in Ukraine, lockdowns in China and recession fears: the current global mix is not conducive to rising share prices, but there is also positive news from companies. Among them is BYD. The largest Chinese manufacturer of electric cars has published quarterly figures and thus convinced analysts. In addition, BYD is celebrating the delivery anniversary of its flagship. The share of Altech Advanced Materials is also currently stepping on the gas. A study has confirmed that the planned production plant of the Heidelberg-based Company can be highly profitable. With the plant, Altech wants to stir up the market for lithium-ion batteries. BioNTech shareholders are still waiting for positive news - but there is hope.

BioNTech share price about to double? Varta and Meta Materials with newsflow, or not

  • Biotechnology
  • Technology

Those who are currently betting on rising prices on the stock market need strong nerves. But some companies are worth a closer look. Among others, this applies to BioNTech. The Company is facing important deadlines, continues to earn billions with its Corona vaccine and has an attractive product pipeline. The analysts at Berenberg, for example, see doubling potential after the stock has bottomed out. Meta Materials has also formed a bottom formation, and at the same time, there was positive newsflow from the developer of revolutionary products. Varta shareholders have been hoping for this for some time, but in vain. The share is battered, and even the current financial injection cannot change that.

Chip industry booming: What are Mercedes partners BrainChip, Nvidia and Infineon doing?

  • AI
  • Automotive
  • Chip industry

Chip stocks are having a hard time at the moment, although the market is undersupplied and will probably remain so for some time. This was also highlighted by figures from semiconductor equipment supplier ASML. Orders at the world's largest supplier of lithography systems to semiconductor manufacturers were around EUR 7 billion in the first three months of 2022, well above market expectations. In addition, ASML has indicated targets through 2025. The Company intends to expand production capacities in view of the high demand. Mercedes partner BrainChip should also benefit from these positive industry prospects. And, of course, industry heavyweights such as Nvidia and Infineon.

Exciting hydrogen forecast: Shares of Nel ASA, Plug Power and dynaCERT facing golden times?

  • Hydrogen

For many, hydrogen is a key factor in successfully implementing the energy transition. Accordingly, the technology is being promoted strongly. Since the start of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, hydrogen has again gained importance, and experts are overflowing with growth forecasts. First, in mid-March, the investment bank Jefferies published a forecast according to which the demand for hydrogen electrolyzers could rise to more than 400 gigawatts by 2030. By then, however, only 79 gigawatts would be available. So the supply gap is enormous. To fill it, hydrogen specialists like dynaCERT, Nel ASA and Plug Power could be in for golden times. And it gets even better. A new study puts the Jefferies forecast in the shade.

Nel, Standard Lithium, Power Nickel: Shares for the electric boom

  • Nickel
  • Lithium
  • Electromobility

BYD and Tesla are celebrating new delivery records in 2022 - and the trend continues to rise. German automakers are also trying to keep pace with electromobility with new models. But success has long since ceased to depend solely on technology and brand; the supply of raw materials is increasingly becoming a critical factor. Lithium and nickel, in particular, are in short supply, and prices are going through the roof. The shares of Standard Lithium and Power Nickel, among others, are benefiting from this. While Standard Lithium has been able to win groups as partners, the spin-off of Power Nickel's gold activities is providing additional share price potential. Hydrogen also has great potential, regardless of whether it will play a role in cars in the future or not. With the latest cooperation with the energy supplier Iberdrola, Nel is taking a further step to secure a piece of the pie.

Varta, BYD, Nevada Copper: Shares under power

  • Copper
  • Electromobility

With the "Easter Package", Economics and Climate Protection Minister Robert Habeck wants to accelerate the expansion of renewable energies once again. The central goal is to double the share of electricity from renewable sources to 80% by 2030. In order to achieve this, approval procedures for new projects are to be shortened, among other things. In addition, new areas are to be made available for wind and photovoltaics, and remuneration is to be increased. Electromobility should also benefit because the environment is only really protected if the electricity comes from renewable sources. Companies across the entire value chain should benefit. The Chinese car manufacturer BYD is currently shining with several positive reports. Raw materials producer Nevada Copper also impressed with its quarterly update and is on the verge of a revaluation. At battery pioneer Varta, analysts are having their say after the figures.

Varta, Standard Lithium, Edison Lithium: Shares profit from e-mobility

  • Lithium
  • Electromobility

Tesla has reported a new delivery record. This confirms the high demand for e-cars, and demand is necessary because the energy turnaround will hardly work without a consistent shift to e-mobility. In Germany, this development is compounded by the reduction in oil supplies from Russia. The demand for batteries and their components - above all lithium - is correspondingly high. The price per ton of lithium carbonate knows only one way: up. Today, more than EUR 70,000 per ton is being paid for the "white gold". Investors can profit from this: One of the favorites in this area is Standard Lithium. After a breather, the share is stepping on the gas again. The still largely undiscovered Edison Lithium share also has potential. Battery specialist Varta is having a more challenging time. The figures were okay. The outlook did not convince analysts, but there is hope.

Is the gas dispute escalating? What are Nel, RWE and First Hydrogen doing?

  • Hydrogen

Germany is preparing for a possible gas shortage with an "early warning" phase. Yesterday, Economics Minister Robert Habeck activated the early warning phase of the so-called Gas Emergency Plan due to a possible deterioration in the supply situation and put together a crisis team. Habeck: "There are currently no supply bottlenecks. Nevertheless, we must increase preventative measures to be prepared in the event of an escalation by Russia." The background to this is Russia's announcement that it will only accept rubles for gas deliveries in the future. Once again, this highlights the urgent need for Germany to become independent of Russian gas supplies. Companies such as the utility RWE and the hydrogen specialists Nel and First Hydrogen are providing support on this path. The shares offer interesting opportunities.

Alarm bells ringing: Shares of Nel ASA, K+S and Almonty Industries take off

  • Tungsten
  • Hydrogen

There is a mood of alarm in German politics and business these days. The reason - prices for critical raw materials are going through the roof, and the security of supply is in question. BMW, Daimler, and Volkswagen have to shut down plants due to a shortage of nickel. And the stress factor is also high in medium-sized companies. Take tungsten, for example. "The sources are drying up at the moment, which is causing problems in procurement," says Johannes Schmidt in an interview with the FAZ. He is chairman of the board of the medium-sized holding Company Indus and thus has an overview of the situation in various industries. Although China is the largest tungsten producer, German companies have often ordered from Russia. On the other hand, commodity companies such as Almonty Industries, K+S and Nel are profiting. Their shares are taking off.

Nel and Bayer shares in demand - when will Barsele Minerals explode?

  • Gold
  • Hydrogen

The stock and commodity markets remain volatile. Prices are driven by the war in Ukraine and the Corona pandemic. In recent days, commodities have been on the rise again. Brent oil is trading at around USD 120 per barrel, and gold is again setting its sights on the USD 2,000 mark. But even in this difficult-to-navigate environment, equities can make gains. Bayer shares, for example, have developed positively in recent weeks. And analysts see up to 50% upside potential for the DAX company. The invasion of Russia has also accelerated the move toward renewable energies. Hydrogen plays a central role in this. Nel has been able to profit from the fantasy in recent weeks and has now also announced a new order. Gold explorer Barsele Minerals has catch-up potential. According to a study, the share already had a lot of potential at a gold price of USD 1,350.
