First Hydrogen, Plug Power, SFC Energy - Green hydrogen is booming!

  • greenhydrogen
  • Hydrogen

Reducing energy dependence on Russia is currently the top priority for Europe. To this end, the expansion of renewable energy sources is being massively accelerated. However, a massive expansion of the energy grids is also necessary for a sensible distribution. In addition, storage options are needed. That is where hydrogen comes into play. Suppose it is produced from regeneratively generated electricity with the help of electrolyzers. In that case, we have a CO2-neutral energy carrier which can then be transported with little logistical effort - so-called "green hydrogen". The following companies are looking to take advantage of this.

Altech Advanced Materials, Varta, Mercedes - This way!

  • Electromobility
  • Battery

The latest data from the Federal Statistical Office speak a clear language. E-cars are increasingly in demand. Around 90% of German e-car production is exported. "Made in Germany" therefore still scores points. The performance of the batteries, adequate infrastructure and the availability of essential raw materials such as lithium are important parameters for rapid market penetration. Innovations always remain the trump card. Germany certainly doesn't have to hide in this respect.

wallstreet:online, Block Inc., PayPal - Is the mood turning?

  • Investments

One sector that has made strong gains in the stock market boom of recent years has been FinTechs and financial services providers. Financial portal operators and neobrokers such as wallstreet:online and Smartbroker were among the beneficiaries, as was the payment service provider PayPal. The share price of Block Inc., the mobile payment provider originally launched under the name Square Inc., also climbed to dizzying heights. After a sharp correction, things could now be on the up again with the tailwind of good figures.

At least in Europe, "normality" seems to have set in in everyday life - that is, concerning Corona. However, cautionary voices are already pointing to the winter season and the associated threat of new mutations. Nevertheless, given the Ukraine war and the major security-political tensions in the world, nothing is "normal." Investors should be vigilant in following geopolitical developments and not miss out on the opportunities that continually present themselves at the corporate level.

Plug Power, First Hydrogen, Rheinmetall - On the verge of a breakthrough

  • Hydrogen
  • GreenTech

According to Western politicians, the accelerated expansion of renewable energies should end the dependency on Russia sooner rather than later. The oil and gas of the "aggressor" are to be replaced by wind and sun. With hydrogen and the associated fuel cell technology, the transformation from fossil fuels to alternative drives is likely to take place, especially in the transportation sector. While market leader Plug Power is still very ambitiously valued despite a major correction, a young company with its best-of strategy is about to reach an important milestone.

Defense Metals, ThyssenKrupp, Allkem - Raw materials for armaments

  • RareEarths
  • armaments

Times of war have their own dynamics. Many sectors of the economy suffer from the uncertainties it brings. However, one sector can confidently be called a war winner because, without defense equipment, there is no war. The supplier industries are also among the profiteers, provided demand does not collapse elsewhere to a greater extent. In addition, the defense industry is increasingly being classified as sustainable, which opens up access to previously closed ESG portfolios.

Zalando, Aspermont, SAP - Corona and back, the stock rebound is coming!

  • Digitization

  • Technology

What would society and the economy look like without digitization? The Internet, software and smartphones have become a matter of everyday life and form the basis for communication and interaction. Corona has been an accelerator in many ways. On the other hand, pandemics and war clearly show us the limits of supposedly predictable growth with scarcity prices and supply chain disruptions. At a reduced price level, it is worth looking at "digitization stocks" that offer good opportunities.

Phoenix Copper, Glencore, Rheinmetall - High demand is intact

  • Copper
  • commodities

In its latest report, the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) provided an interesting insight into the general conditions of the metal markets at the beginning of the year. According to this report, there is still a global demand surplus for copper - just as there is for lead and nickel. In the first two months alone, the deficit already amounted to 83,000t of copper, up from 476,000t in 2021. In contrast, mine production rose by just 2.8% in January and February. However, coal and defense products are also currently in demand globally.

Adler Group, BrainChip, Verbio - Exciting developments!

  • Investments
  • Technology

Not every piece of information is received by the market as the broadcaster had intended. The general sentiment and the need for an explanation of news or developments also plays a major, sometimes even decisive role. The management and shareholders of the Adler Group and Verbio can currently sing a song about this. However, in part, it is also the short-sighted quarterly thinking, as in the case of BrainChip, that is depressing the share prices. Forward-looking investors can profit from these constellations.

Tangible assets such as equities, real estate and commodities remain a strategically correct investment decision in the face of increasingly rising inflation. However, the crystal ball must make a precise forecast of the complex interplay of inflation rates, economic development, external shocks (Corona, Ukraine war) and central bank reactions. With these substance stocks, investors can survive rougher stock market phases.
