Gold Stocks – Q3 Central Bank Buying and ETF Inflows Could Provide a Tailwind for Newmont, Kobo Resources and Agnico Eagle
Central banks bought 321.2 tonnes of gold in the third quarter. That was 42% more than in the same period last year, the World Gold Council reported on November 3. Added to this were 211.2 tonnes of inflows into exchange-traded gold funds following outflows in the second quarter. Global mine production, by contrast, rose by just 3% to 1,070.9 tonnes over the same period. Producers have to deliver, and it takes years for a deposit to become a mine. This spurs producers into action, because those who keep mines running, make new discoveries or develop projects can benefit. We take a closer look at Newmont, Kobo Resources and Agnico Eagle.

Gold Stocks – Barrick Mining, Lahontan Gold and Newmont: Balancing Production Costs and Gold Prices

To understand how companies are positioned in this environment, it is important to look at both operating mines and projects that have yet to be built. We therefore take a closer look at Barrick Mining, Lahontan Gold and Newmont.
