A New Gold Story in the West: How Endeavour Mining and Perseus Mining Are Expanding in West Africa – Could Kobo Resources Be the Next Gold Discovery?
Anyone traveling through West Africa sees a region in the midst of transformation. For years, traditional mining jurisdictions such as Guinea, Ghana, and Burkina Faso dominated gold production, while Côte d'Ivoire remained largely overlooked despite its substantial mineral endowment. That picture is now changing. Reliable infrastructure, an increasingly attractive regulatory framework, and growing investor confidence are drawing fresh capital into the country. As established mining operations seek to replenish their reserves, agile exploration companies are positioning themselves to discover and develop the next generation of gold mines in Côte d'Ivoire. For investors, this evolving landscape is creating compelling new opportunities.

Promising Explorer Kobo Resources Heading for a Busy Fall? Endeavour Mining and Perseus Mining Under Pressure
West Africa stands out for its vibrant mining scene. A lot is happening in the region right now. While the major mining giants are investing billions in their existing operations to extend mine lifetimes, an increasing number of smaller players are also coming into focus with high-grade discoveries. In Côte d'Ivoire in particular, there is already existing processing infrastructure that needs to be utilized to full capacity. This is driving activity along the Birimian greenstone belt. The race for promising gold properties near existing milling capacity has begun. In this way, corporations are avoiding extensive new investments and permitting processes while breathing new life into existing facilities. We explain the trend and highlight a potential beneficiary.

Shock Move at Barrick Mining? Merger with Endeavour Mining? Opportunity in Desert Gold? Gold Price at USD 4,000?
While the gold price is weakening, a potential mega-merger is emerging in Africa. As reported by "Reuters," Barrick Mining is exploring strategic options for its African operations. In addition to a potential IPO in London, a merger with Endeavour Mining is also being considered. Barrick has already been pursuing a strategic realignment for some time, including plans to list its North American business separately. Smaller explorers and producers in West Africa should also benefit from the increased market attention. One potential acquisition target is Desert Gold. The company's CEO recently made a strong impression at an investor conference. The company aims to begin gold production this year and sees an opportunity to expand its resources to over five million ounces. Analysts recommend a "Buy" rating. At the same time, Russia is reportedly selling gold. Is this a reason for concern?

West Africa: A Gold Hotspot! What Makes This Region Unique - Desert Gold, Barrick Mining, Endeavour Mining
Without control over high-grade deposits, mines cannot operate sustainably in the long run – this holds true even in the promising West African gold belt. While many market participants are distracted by short-term geopolitical headlines and view countries like Mali rather critically, experienced players focus on geology and grades as the decisive factors. In the current market environment, momentum is shifting away from speculative projects and toward advanced properties with significant potential for future production. As the world's leading growth region, West Africa is at the center of this trend, with the Senegal-Mali Shear Zone (SMSZ) standing out in particular for its geology. We highlight three exciting companies and take a closer look at one promising gold prospector.

Glencore, Laurion Mineral, Endeavour Mining – Demand explodes
The continuing high demand for copper and precious metals, coupled with rising prices, is putting increasing pressure on the global commodities sector while also creating new opportunities. More and more producers are responding with massive investment programs, expanded exploration campaigns, and the accelerated expansion of existing projects. Copper, in particular, is considered a bottleneck metal in the energy transition. Without additional production volumes, there is a risk of price volatility and supply bottlenecks in key industries such as electromobility, renewable energy, and semiconductor technology.

Barrick Gold, Desert Gold, Endeavour Mining - Is the gold price getting wings?
On Valentine's Day, all eyes were on the US inflation rate for January. The inflation rate in the US was 6.4%, 0.1% better than in December. However, analysts had expected only 6.2%. That is because gold is sensitive to interest rates. This scenario was well observed last year when the gold price was pushed down as interest rates rose. Now, with signs of a decline in inflation, the gold price was able to rise to almost USD 1,960 by the beginning of February. It remains to be seen how the FED will react to the new numbers. We look at three gold companies today.
