The Iran conflict is once again dominating headlines, drawing renewed attention from capital market participants to alternatives to oil and natural gas. And the trend is moving in the wrong direction. Brent crude, the world's most widely traded oil benchmark, has surged another 20% in just three days, putting alternative energy technologies back into focus. Business momentum is becoming increasingly tangible for hydrogen specialist dynaCERT, which is now rolling out its emerging markets strategy through Vietnam. Meanwhile, Siemens Energy is fighting to hold the EUR 150 level, while Nordex has been unable to maintain support at EUR 40. At the same time, former market favourite ITM Power is experiencing a full-scale sell-off, while Rheinmetall is once again moving into the spotlight. With so much happening across the sector, investors are facing a market in motion—and a broad range of opportunities. We take a closer look.

Penalty Shootout in the Energy Sector: Takeovers Ahead? Keep an Eye on Nel ASA, A.H.T. Syngas, Helios Solar, ITM, and Plug Power

Markets continue to climb, and the global energy transition is entering a new investment phase. Yet the momentum is far from evenly distributed. While Europe is accelerating the expansion of renewable energy to meet rising electricity demand from electric vehicles, industry, data centers, and artificial intelligence, the US administration is placing renewed emphasis on expanding nuclear power. Meanwhile, Southeast Asia is quietly emerging as one of the world's fastest-growing solar markets. According to the International Energy Agency, annual global investment in clean energy technologies will need to exceed USD 2 trillion by the end of the decade merely to move closer to international climate targets. At the same time, the European Commission is easing fiscal rules, giving member states greater scope to invest in energy infrastructure, while the European Investment Bank plans to provide EUR 75 billion in financing for energy transition projects by 2028. Who stands to benefit?

Market Shock and Plunge for Ballard Power and ITM Power! Does HPQ Silicon Offer a Better Opportunity Following New Deals?

  • Silicon
  • Hydrogen
  • Batteries
  • Technology

Stocks in the technology sector—and particularly those in the hydrogen industry—are currently experiencing wild swings. Even when there is positive news or a successful annual shareholder meeting, massive profit-taking often sends prices plummeting afterward. Prominent examples of this are the current developments at industry giants ITM Power and Ballard Power. Both have recently suffered steep price losses following their strong rallies. But while these two stocks are currently "suffering" under selling pressure, an exciting technology stock is positioning itself in the second tier. HPQ Silicon is drawing attention with new partnerships in Asia and at European defence trade shows. From a technical chart perspective, it is currently well supported on the downside by a horizontal support zone. Could HPQ perhaps even outperform Ballard and ITM in the coming weeks? We take a close look at the opportunities and developments of these three companies.

ITM Power and Nel ASA in Correction Mode – Is dynaCERT Poised for a Breakout?

  • Hydrogen
  • cleantech
  • renewableenergy
  • Energy

Nel ASA shares fell more than 5% yesterday alone, extending the stock's correction through June. On the positive side, the former investor favourite recently succeeded in resolving a legal dispute. ITM Power is also in correction mode. Even a new partnership in the UK has failed to halt the recent sell-off. That said, both Nel ASA and ITM Power had previously enjoyed substantial rallies, with their shares roughly doubling and more than tripling, respectively. Analysts believe dynaCERT shares are capable of such a price surge. Under its new German management team, the cleantech company has undergone a significant transformation over the past two years. Currently, the company is benefiting from elevated oil prices. There is significant interest in technology for optimizing internal combustion engines. Should dynaCERT announce larger commercial orders, the stock could attract increased investor attention and potentially continue its upward momentum.

Will NASDAQ Shockwave Burst AI Bubble? Major Movements at Nel ASA, Oklo, dynaCERT, SpaceX, and ITM Power

  • Hydrogen
  • cleantech
  • AI
  • renewableenergy
  • Space
  • Software
  • Technology

It has finally happened—a 7.5% drop on the tech exchanges in just three trading days. Yet, only last Tuesday, the NASDAQ 100 index had reached a new all-time high of 30,730 points. In a sudden realization, market participants understood that the central bank's next move will be a "rate hike." After all, the new Fed Chair, Kevin Warsh, makes no secret that inflation near 4% is a disaster for the US dollar and economic stability. Although Donald Trump has repeatedly hinted in the media at an interest rate cut, the central bank governors—including former Fed Chair Jerome Powell—are unanimously leaning toward hikes to curb high inflation. In addition to economically measurable inflation, voices are growing louder that excessive price increases on Wall Street paint a picture of the economy that does not align with reality. The daily gains of billions in stock market wealth, combined with the extreme increases in long positions, harbour the potential for disappointment in the near future. Whether the initial spark of a correction was set in motion last week must therefore be closely analyzed.

ITM Power, Pure One, BYD: Green Technologies Poised for Explosive Growth

  • Hydrogen
  • cleantech
  • GreenTech
  • Electromobility

The global mobility and energy sector is on the verge of a massive transformation. While AI data centers and geopolitical tensions are driving a surge in demand for alternative energy sources, entirely new markets are emerging around hydrogen, electric mobility, and zero-emission commercial vehicles. Governments are funding billion-dollar programs for green infrastructure, while companies are seeking solutions for sectors that are difficult to electrify, such as heavy-duty transport, logistics, and industry. Particularly exciting: New battery swap systems, synthetic fuels, and highly efficient hydrogen technologies could be among the biggest winners of global decarbonization in the coming years. At the same time, the price war in the electric vehicle sector is intensifying the pressure to innovate and opening up enormous growth opportunities for technologically strong providers.

Further Price Surges Possible — But Volatility Remains Extreme! What Investors Need to Know About Ballard Power Systems, ITM Power, and HPQ Silicon

  • Silicon
  • Batteries
  • Technology
  • Hydrogen

Clean energy technologies such as hydrogen are currently experiencing another strong rally. Rising oil prices are playing a role, but another key factor is that many of these stocks have been heavily oversold. As a result, even moderately positive news can trigger sharp upward moves. At the same time, the markets are increasingly separating the wheat from the chaff. Following its recent surge, hydrogen pioneer Ballard Power is now facing renewed shareholder tensions and continued high volatility. After its rocket-like rise, competitor ITM Power is approaching critical decisions regarding millions in potential government funding. Meanwhile, a smaller player is quietly creeping up on the market to revolutionize the entire battery industry. HPQ Silicon has reported highly promising laboratory results and is preparing for the transition toward commercial-scale production. Unlike many hydrogen stocks, the share price has not yet experienced a major breakout — but that could still change. This report examines the latest developments for the three stocks, analyzes the hard facts, and highlights potential opportunities.

Energy Rally 3.0: Hydrogen and Methane Are Driving the Market! ITM Power, Zefiro Methane, Plug Power, and Nel ASA In Focus

  • methane
  • Hydrogen
  • Oil
  • Gas
  • cleantech
  • OrphanWells

The stock market today is anything but a one-way street. While the problems in the Middle East have had a virtually direct impact on the chip industry's supply chains, other sectors have been left behind. For investors, stock selection is becoming a difficult task, as markets will eventually have to price in the higher inflation and interest rates over the medium term. Almost unnoticed, an alternative energy segment has gained momentum in recent days: hydrogen. Shifting away from oil and toward other themes, liquidity is finally flowing into this sector as well. A major beneficiary of this situation is Zefiro Methane. Here, the profit potential stems from decades of shortcomings in oil exploration and production. The highlight of the current selection: all stocks have surged significantly in recent weeks. But the clear winner in terms of returns is Zefiro Methane. And the story is just beginning!
