Gold at a Higher Low? Aya Gold & Silver, Phenom Resources and Perseus Mining in Focus
Gold has become particularly interesting from a technical analysis perspective in recent days. The precious metal has stabilised above USD 4,125 per ounce, despite briefly dipping below that level. The July low was approximately USD 150 lower. If the bottoming process that has been underway for several days succeeds, gold will have established a higher low. This is seen as extremely positive from a technical analysis perspective. That would take the July low out of focus for now, and markets could look north again. The next resistance level in that direction is still a long way off. Of course, the broader environment also needs to be supportive. Interest rate concerns remain acute. Professionals expect three interest rate increases by the Federal Reserve after the midterm elections in early November. In addition, earnings season begins this week – traditionally with the financial statements of the major investment banks. For gold investors, the intriguing question remains whether gold can function as a safe haven again. The Poles, the Chinese and others are certainly using current prices to replenish their central banks' holdings. We, in turn, look at the shares of Aya Gold & Silver, Phenom Resources and Perseus Mining.

Takeover Battle Intensifies: BASF, Evonik, Gerresheimer and Phenom Resources
The takeover battle surrounding BASF and Evonik is intensifying, and politicians are now getting involved as well. The state government is demanding job guarantees, while the leader of the SPD parliamentary group in North Rhine-Westphalia has voiced criticism and called on Minister President Hendrik Wüst to step up his efforts and provide greater clarity. Phenom Resources is a hot stock with takeover potential. The Canadian company is focused on gold and vanadium projects in the US state of Nevada. Its gold and copper assets are set to be spun off—but could a strategic partner make a move instead? Gerresheimer was already in the crosshairs of financial investors back in 2025. Since the failed takeover attempt, however, things have been relatively quiet. The company is currently restructuring and streamlining its business. That could eventually put it back on potential buyers' radar.

Nevada Reshuffles: Barrick, Newmont and SSR Mining Pursue New Projects – Phenom Resources in the Middle of It
Gold is more relevant than ever. Persistent geopolitical risks and inflation concerns are driving investors increasingly toward the traditional safe haven. After a record high above USD 5,500 in January, the price of an ounce of gold traded around USD 4,150 at the end of September despite the recent correction, still firmly at historically elevated levels. For established producers in the US state of Nevada, this price environment is generating substantial cash flows, while operating costs for ongoing mining operations are also rising. This is forcing major mining companies to rethink their strategies and is creating new opportunities for agile exploration companies operating in the same region.

E-Mobility in the Grip of Energy Prices! Things Are Heating Up for VW, Porsche, Mercedes, BYD and Phenom Resources
Filling up currently feels like a painful visit to the dentist — but without much hope of a cure! Yet despite all the gloom, there are also winners. Against the backdrop of rising energy prices, European e-mobility has entered a dynamic yet fiercely competitive phase in recent months. The historic price shock at the pump is prompting consumers to rethink their spending while driving a boom in new battery electric vehicle registrations. In Europe, electric vehicles now appear on the horizon as a subsidized solution, while gasoline and diesel prices march from one all-time high to the next. However, the charts so beloved by stock market traders are difficult to apply to gas station products. As the operating costs of internal combustion engines soar, electric vehicles are rapidly gaining appeal as an alternative. This is particularly good news for Chinese automakers, who are pushing into Europe with an aggressive market strategy and challenging the established, traditional brands. Even the import tariffs imposed by Brussels on pure-electric vehicles can barely slow the advance from the Far East. The local automotive industry is thus under unprecedented pressure to transform and compete. Where exactly should investors be looking?
