A 36% gain in just six weeks! Was the market completely wrong about TeamViewer? Is the German software company not an AI loser after all, but instead a potential winner? While it is still too early for a definitive conclusion, recent developments are clearly pointing in the right direction. A comeback candidate could be BioNxt Solutions. Biotech companies are currently overshadowed by the AI boom, but following recent news flow, BioNxt is emerging as a hot buy—and perhaps even a takeover candidate. A potential beneficiary of peace in the Middle East and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz could be TUI AG. Even without such geopolitical tailwinds, analysts still see further upside potential. Could gains of 50% be possible?

BioNxt Solutions: When Will the Breakthrough Happen?

Since biotech companies are currently overshadowed by the AI boom, buying opportunities keep arising. At the very latest, following the recent flurry of news, BioNxt is a hot buy—and perhaps even a takeover candidate.

The Canadian-German biotech company specializes in developing innovative drug delivery systems for already approved blockbuster active ingredients. Thanks to its proprietary sublingual thin-film technology, drugs can be developed to market-readiness within a few years at significantly lower cost and with significantly reduced research risk.

In the past four weeks alone, BioNxt has provided several reasons to add the stock to the portfolio. The company has completed GMP-compliant manufacturing of its clinical-grade sublingual cladribine thin film. Production took place at a German contract manufacturer in Munich and serves as the basis for the planned clinical bioavailability study in humans. The BNT23001 program is aimed at treating relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis and other neurodegenerative autoimmune diseases. With the manufacture of the investigational product, the company considers itself prepared for the transition to the clinical phase. Among other things, sublingual administration is intended to enable an alternative method of drug delivery without traditional oral tablets.

The company also aims to compete in the billion-dollar market for weight-loss products. To this end, BioNxt has initiated the development phase of its orally soluble semaglutide film for Ozempic. In collaboration with the German company Gen-Plus GmbH, the company is developing a sublingual thin-film formulation of the GLP-1 active ingredient for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. The initial development phase focuses on formulation work, analytical testing, and proof-of-concept studies. BioNxt aims to expand its existing thin-film technology into the growing market for GLP-1 therapies, relying on a patient-friendly administration method that does not require needles or tablets.

And another billion-dollar market is currently being targeted. Accordingly, BioNxt Solutions is exploring the use of its proprietary drug delivery technologies in the field of psychedelic therapeutics. This follows increasing regulatory and clinical activity in North America and Europe regarding research into psychedelic compounds for mental health conditions such as depression or PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). The company points to its existing expertise in developing psychedelic active ingredients and its own library of relevant compounds. The strategy focuses on sublingual thin-film and transdermal systems intended to enable more precise, patient-friendly administration. BioNxt sees potential for scalable applications in modern therapies for central nervous system disorders.

The stock market is currently showing little appreciation for this potential. The share is trading at around EUR 0.26, having lost nearly 40% of its value this year. The market capitalization stands at approximately CAD 51 million.

TeamViewer: From AI Loser to Winner?

TeamViewer is currently showing what a comeback for BioNxt shares might look like. The German software company's stock has risen by about 36% over the past six weeks. However, at a price of EUR 5.75, it is still a good distance from its 52-week high, which stands at over EUR 10. In 2021, the stock even traded at around EUR 50. The current rally is driven by the hope that the company will not be among the big AI losers. Perhaps it is even an AI winner?

Just ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, TeamViewer announced that the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team uses TeamViewer ONE behind the scenes. The Autonomous Endpoint Management (AEM) platform is designed to provide the team with real-time visibility and control over thousands of IT and OT endpoints, from the main factory in Brackley to the pit lane. With the help of AI, TeamViewer ONE is intended to detect and resolve even the smallest IT glitches in real time.

Toto Wolff, Team Principal of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team comments: "During the race, I rely on dozens of data streams, from telemetry to weather to radio. The technology behind it must run with absolute reliability. In Formula 1, there are no favours; every technology partner earns its place. TeamViewer delivers exactly where we make no compromises: reliability and performance."

In Formula 1, there is virtually zero margin for IT glitches. Problems such as a laptop in the pit freezing up or a radio signal cutting out in the middle of the race must be resolved immediately. TeamViewer ONE makes exactly that possible. Since the platform also runs locally on devices, IT operations at the racetrack do not come to a standstill even if the network goes down. TeamViewer ONE uses a self-learning system that detects anomalies, applies appropriate solutions, and thus resolves IT issues before users even notice them. TeamViewer notes that the platform has already handled well over a million AI support sessions—300,000 of them in March alone—and is thus improving steadily.

In addition, the software provider unveiled a new feature for its AI agent Tia at the Gartner Digital Workplace Summit in London. The solution can learn from a company's support history and convert resolved IT issues into automated workflows using AI-generated scripts. This is intended to enable IT teams to standardize on proven solutions and automatically apply them to devices or groups of devices in the future. The feature is part of the TeamViewer ONE platform and is designed to support the transition to largely autonomous IT operations.

    TUI: Winner of Peace?

TUI is also a potential comeback candidate. Driven by falling oil prices and the possibility of peace in the Middle East, the stock surged by over 5% yesterday. However, the share has still lost around 25% of its value so far this year. At present, the tourism group's stock is trading at around EUR 6.85, a level it already reached back in April 2023.

Barclays, however, sees upside potential in the share price and recommends buying TUI shares. Due to the previous profit warning, the second-quarter figures came as no surprise. Analysts also see some positive developments in the key metrics. In their view, TUI shares should be among the big winners if the US and Iran reach a stable peace agreement and the Strait of Hormuz is once again fully navigable. They see the fair value of TUI AG STOCK at EUR 9.

Just a few days earlier, Deutsche Bank analysts had expressed even greater optimism. They even believe the TUI share price could reach EUR 10.50. According to marketscreener.com, 9 out of 13 analysts recommend buying the tourism group's stock. There is currently no "Sell" recommendation.

    Conclusion

Anyone investing in TUI must be aware of the many external factors influencing the company's performance, such as the economic cycle and geopolitical conflicts. However, it may still be worth a trade. TeamViewer is also more of a speculative play. Too often, the company has disappointed investors. For BioNxt Solutions, the share price performance has been disappointing. The numerous positive announcements have had virtually no impact on the stock market. Yet this also presents a potential buying opportunity. In any case, there are solid reasons to expect a possible comeback for the stock.

The market is becoming increasingly concentrated. Despite fresh record highs in July, the number of true winners can almost be counted on one hand. The strongest performers continue to be a select group of high-tech and AI stocks, while semiconductor shares are already beginning to lose momentum. Meanwhile, oil and gas stocks are picking up speed again, while the long upswing in the defence sector that began in 2022 appears to be running out of steam. As a result, many defence companies ranked among the worst-performing stocks during the first half of the year. Now the summer slowdown has arrived, and even a potential interest cut by Fed Chair Kevin Warsh is unlikely to lift sentiment. The reason is straightforward: inflation remains stubbornly high, hovering around the 4% mark in the US for an unusually long time. President Donald Trump had hoped that replacing Jerome Powell would pave the way for lower interest rates, but those expectations now appear increasingly unrealistic. Then there is the tariff setback, which is costing US taxpayers another USD 100 billion. In short, the warning signs of a broader market correction are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. For active investors, the only real question is when, not if. Against this backdrop, we take a closer look at the battered defence sector in search of the next potential blockbuster investment.

AI, Tech, Debt, and Ratings: Oracle Faces a Reality Check, Renk Searches for a Bottom, and Volatus Aerospace May Be Poised for a Technical Breakout

Oracle is pouring billions into the AI frenzy, thereby risking its credit rating. The result: investors are fleeing in droves, and the share price is plummeting. At the same time, Renk's share price has now collapsed by over 50% from its high. The German defence industry's rising star, along with Rheinmetall and Hensoldt, is desperately seeking a foothold. "Collective punishment" is the buzzword here! While the big names dominate the headlines, the Canadian aerospace company Volatus Aerospace may have finally done its technical analysis homework after turbulent times, with an open price gap now closed. Could this be a signal—or a starting gun? We analyze these three different companies and highlight where investors can still find interesting opportunities.

Biotech stocks have not exactly been investor favourites this year. And now Evotec has delivered yet another shock. It was already known that the company was undergoing a comprehensive restructuring. Nevertheless, it had recently seemed as though the share price was finding a bottom in the EUR 4-5 range. But then came the shock. The significant downward revision of its forecast and the expected high EBITDA loss caused the share price to plummet. In contrast, Lahontan Gold is shining with relative strength. While it cannot escape the negative sentiment in the gold sector, the odds are good that the share price will take off again soon. After all, the company is on the verge of transitioning from an explorer to a producer. And what about First Majestic Silver? This core investment in the silver sector recently reported its second-quarter production figures.
