In precious metals, the bulls have recently tried to push the price significantly higher again. However, this breakout attempt has failed for now. In the short term, the price, like that of silver, is moving in response to the latest statements by members of the Federal Reserve. Recently, an investment bank had also suggested that the US central bank could raise interest rates before the midterms in early November. This is weighing on prices. Yet the Fed has never raised interest rates before elections to signal political neutrality. The next meeting could be as early as next week.
