Germany's former flagship industry is suffering: Shifts are being cut at the Volkswagen plant in Zwickau. The reason: customers remain reluctant to buy new cars. They are not yet convinced by many e-cars. Added to this is the price shock. Using three companies as examples, we explore how it could go on for car manufacturers like Volkswagen and how investors can still bet on e-mobility.

Defiance Silver Corp., BASF, Ballard Power - Precious metals drive renewable energy to peak performance

Silver is essential to booming industries and is characterized by high conductivity of heat and electricity. Defiance Silver Corp., a Canadian exploration company, has achieved the broadest and highest-grade mineralization to date in its drilling at the San Acacio project in Mexico. Results from 4 of the 6 drill holes confirm the promising potential in the Veta Grande area. Meanwhile, BASF is collaborating with a Chinese green shipping partner to deploy its onboard CO2 capture system for decarbonization. Ballard Power is considering just the opposite. The Canadian battery manufacturer has doubts about China being a reliable partner. The call for money in the form of government subsidies makes them hesitant.

New record prices every day, but where is the perfect battery? Varta, First Phosphate, Volkswagen in focus

  • Commodities
  • Technology
  • Rare Earth Elements
  • Battery Metals
  • E-Mobility

Without the next evolutionary step in traction batteries, it will probably be a long time before e-mobility can replace the combustion engine market. Short service life, limited flexibility and high production and disposal costs stand in the way of an economic approach, even if the red-green government likes to downplay these facts. In the end, politics has also failed to provide electricity in an appropriately "sustainable" manner and at an affordable price. Therefore, anyone who wants to promote ecology through politics must ensure that electricity prices are halved, and all currently required fossil components are eliminated from the energy mix. Otherwise, the enlightened consumer may revert to purchasing fuel-efficient internal combustion engine vehicles, even if they eventually have to import them into the EU at some point. Where are the opportunities for dynamic investors?

Varta, Altech Advanced Materials, Freyr Battery - Different Outlooks

  • Electromobility
  • Battery
  • Renewable Energy

The continuous development of batteries plays a crucial role in the success and efficiency of renewable energy and electromobility. Batteries are a key element that can effectively store electricity from renewable energy sources and retrieve it when needed. Several companies have taken on the development of innovative systems. However, the results vary widely.

Drumbeat in the lithium sector! BYD, Standard Lithium and Grid Metals

  • Lithium
  • Battery
  • Electromobility

A major merger is brewing in the lithium sector: Australia's Alkem has announced its intention to take over its US competitor Livent. This is further impetus for lithium shares to complete their sharp correction. The Bank of America, among others, sees light at the end of the tunnel. The price of lithium has stabilized, battery manufacturers have reduced their inventories, and the reopening of China is causing demand to rise. Against the background of the threatened nationalization - or at least partial nationalization - of lithium projects in Chile, investors should closely examine where the mining areas are located. This is where Standard Lithium, active in the US, and Grid Metals, active in Canada, come into play. Are carmakers like BYD, Volkswagen or Tesla grabbing hold of exciting projects in North America?

Turnaround stocks with a 300% chance do not come along every day - BASF, Defiance Silver and TUI

  • Mining

  • travel

Whenever the stock market reaches new highs, investors look for lagging stocks. This is not so easy because a weak price performance has its reasons. But often, things are simply overlooked. We present three stocks with a good story to tell but have been left behind. BASF, Defiance Silver and TUI were conspicuously undercut. And amid all the turbulence in the financial system, silver is stealthily making its way upwards and easily overcoming the USD 25 mark. Watch out at the edge of the platform!

BYD, Altech Advanced Materials, NIO - Battle for the battery of the future

  • Battery
  • Electromobility
  • Technology

Electromobility is considered a key technology in the transformation of the transport sector. In 2021 alone, the number of new registrations, as well as the market share of battery-powered vehicles, more than doubled. In addition to the charging infrastructure, efficiency plays a decisive role in the spread of e-cars. BYD is currently the leader with its Blade battery. However, a newcomer entered the market in recent months that could shake up the battery market with a novel technology.

Kodiak Copper, Nordex, BYD - Copper price indicates recovery of the economy!

  • Mining
  • Copper
  • Electromobility
  • Battery

Copper is considered a leading indicator of the economy. The red metal is built into almost all electrical products and is needed in many industries. If we compare the spot price of copper with the futures, we can see that the premium per metric ton has increased significantly. This is matched by the fact that China imported 8.1% more copper through August, despite the country's Zero-COVID strategy. In contrast, Chile, one of the largest copper producers, exported less than last year. So supply remains tight, partly due to demand from Europe, which is significantly expanding renewables. So today, we look at three companies around copper.

BYD, Altech Advanced Materials, Varta - Breakthrough in the battery market

Electromobility is considered a key technology in the transformation of the transport sector. In 2021 alone, the number of new registrations and the market share of battery-powered vehicles more than doubled. In addition to the charging infrastructure, efficiency plays a decisive role in the expansion of e-cars. Another obstacle to rapid growth is likely to be the shortage of lithium, an essential raw material for the production of lithium-ion batteries, due to the high demand. A German company is about to start a revolution with new innovative technology. The main component of the new battery is regular table salt, which is available in extremely large quantities and is produced in highly diversified regions.
